  • great viddeo

  • I am glad I live in British Columbia where hydro-electricity is the main source of energy, with wind as a minor alternative. Metro Vancouver has made some improvements such as using electric buses and installing wind turbines on the local mountains.

I bought the book at Chapters last year.

  • Tom Rand F*** you without petrol there's nothing funny to do :(

  • Share share share this video! Maybe the Governement will then be pressured by the civilians and not just corporations.

  • @probablyjake Corporations ARE Government...

  • Amazing video, explained the problem and the potential solutions to the point where I actually "get it" !

    Thank YOU!

  • Want what?, Need what? There is no real issue with fossil fuels other than the fact that opening an oil refinery is nearly impossible, and the ones we have either, get blowed up, are legally not repairable. The fuel crisis we face was created by our own laws and if we want to have a shred of decent humanity we have to stick to our fate and die.. The only problem the Earth faces is us, and some of us see it, most of us are idiotic biblically religious prigs.

  • Great video to accompany a great book that was accompanied by a great book launch! Thanks Tom for packaging this important info in multiple forms so that we can share the message easily.

  • hmm.....now i want to buy that book

  • Awesome I can Dig it 8 to 10 klm deep.

  • A compelling proposition. Very well presented.

  • CAN I KICK IT?

    yes you can!

  • Nice work Tom! Ian

  • Great video. I blogged it for you....

  • I am only sold on it because he is a philosopher AND venture capitalist

  • Slick video.

  • Excellent, Tom !! One roadblock is the Petro-lobby in the US (biggest user). But you are on the right track. Counties like Germany and Norway are leading the way and will leave the US Fossil Fuel addicts in the dust, THEN things will change.

  • Rand has got it. Think big.

  • Very cool. I wish I owned the Sahara desert...looks like a good opportunity.

  • lol.

  • great video.......already passed it on.

  • All right Tom!! Great video.

    ShanaM

  • WOOHOO!!!

    Keep it up Tom!

(and I STILL don't know how hot something has to be to melt salt!)

  • 900 degrees C!

  • @thetomrand

Well that is pretty bloody hot indeed!

  • I shared it dude!

  • What a great video! More people need to see this Tom. I'll spread it around as much as I can.

  • Thank you for this video. This is my first step to educating myself on alternative energy which I don't understand very well. I agree with you on the idea of people being addicted to fossil fuel energy. So many people use their car to drive a block from there house to get snacks at the corner store. They could have walked like me and lost some carbs on the way. I've been yelling "fire" for ever!
