Some other company has the rights to the game now, I have watched a video which clearly says the game is still in production, and will be released. The Video I watched has the game with next generation graphics, And it's definately Duke. So they have been working on it. Can't wait for it!

I mean I don't think that Take Two is gonna let 12 years of development go to waste and not to mention the fact that it looks 90% complete so I think that Take Two will have finished and released somehow! A lot of the stuff that was going to be included in Forever was updates on enemies and weapons from the original as well as new features and more.

Some enemies that were taken from 3D definitely include the Iconic Pig Cop that's been in every Duke Nukem game ever since, an enemy that closely resembles the Cycloid Emperor, Troopers,Octobrains etc. Who knows if the game comes out we might see all the enemies from 3D in addition to new aliens :) There's hope yet no one has announced the game being canceled but if no one continues work on it it will be :(
