I was a kid in alabama in the 70's and 80's and i remember seeing this show it seems like it was a channel out of chicago WGN maybe, geez hard to remember, i had forgotten all about it, thanks for sharing.
At first I thought why the whistle,(unplugged) Then I thought He's doing this because like myself I enjoyed the song Immensely,as well as the program.I never had a father,so when Frazier Thomas came on Family classics Sundays He was like having a Dad tell me a story every week, thank you Dad!
When I was very small about 3, my parents took me to a live show with Fraizer Thomas. I was out in the hall trying to reach the drinking fountain, he came up and lifted me so I could reach! Wish my mother would of gotten a picture of that!
@jonsey617 As a youth of tender years, he patted me on the head & suggested to "My Old Man" (with whom I was with), to spank me as needed. I thought of Fraz. every time thereafter...when I was butt-slapped.
EXCELLENT!!! I remember growing up in Crystal Lake Illinois on a farm and every Sunday afternoon in the winter we watched Family Classics, then we had to go out and do the milking! Great memories from a childhood gone by!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh every sunday at grandmas while we played cowboys and indians, there was Frazier Thomas and that song comin on.I thought it was boring then, but now i see whats on sunday afternoons for my grandkids, and oh how i miss Frazier and FAMILY CLASSICS.
Thank you so much; that was grand; was great to remember that tune. My aithin Christ, morals and ethics, all were supported by Family Classics; great molding point for chracter. My Daddy and Mommy spent many hours together watching these great shows. Frazier Thomas was a great man.
@AmosNomore Good rendition! If anyone is interested, the tune is called MOVIETONES, by DENNIS ALFRED BERRY. I've been unsuccessful at finding It in it's entirety.

Good for you. It's called "Moviescope" by British composer Dennis Berry, who composed a lot of tunes, but under pseudonyms.

Hey, the whistle is better than what I've been able to reproduce! It brought back memories.

Some of the best old movies ever: Union Pacific, Sink the Bismark, Boys Town, Young Thomas Edison...
Brings back fond memories of Sunday afternoons and frozen pizzas.
