Things like this prove how the VG community cares about it's music... Video-game music is incredibly awesome, it can sound like any genre(Parappa the Rapper= Rap, Shadow of the Colossus=Epic orchestra, and even BlazBlue= Some sort of Metal-everything hybrid), but also have it's own unique sound(8/16-bit, Mario, Mega Man, Tetris)... So my question is, why isn't there some kind of VGM radio station?

If Sonic 06 hadn't eaten so much of their resources they could have tried a different apporoach with the classic, like making it like Sonic Advance in the idea of it being a modernized take on the classic game (they already had GBA versions of classic Sonic 1 songs anyway) or perhaps even a full 3D platformer remake of Sonic 1. Sonic Adventure 2 featured a 3D take on Green Hill after all, so that would have been dynamite.

FINALLY, I never got the chance to even try the GBA remake, but mainly because I already own the game on the Sonic Mega Collection disk on the gamecube. I just found the GBA remake to be a waste of time on SEGA's part.

I played sonic 06 once and I had a prety damn good time despite a few flaws. the Spin Dash was weak but didn't let it bother me. the only real problem I had was the high-speed chase segments in Sonic's stages due to the X-Box controller's bulky frame. t kinda screwed up my momentum. There was also the loading times too, Microsoft is obsessed with their visuals that they don't care about the fact Sonic generally means speed and as such the high-def visuals hurt Sonic a bit here.

I own the first Sonic Riders and I didn't have any problem with it at all personally. Then again most people would dump on it if we're talking about the PS2 and X-Box versions. The controls are more difficult on those systems for some reason.

after that...i rented the other games and they were still too easy, regardless of camera.

Unfortunately, they didn't play it at the show I attended either. It sucks, cause this was one of the main ones I was really looking forward to. Since they have too much material to cover in a 2 hour show, they will only play certain songs...but I think Sonic, Mario, and Zelda should be mandatory for each show.

Actually, it was because Sonic Heroes was the latest Sonic game released when the video was made for VGL (I think around 2004). They haven't updated it since then.

Personally, I thought (360/PS3) Unleashed was pretty good (especially the day stages). Still, you're entitled to your opinion on that Heroes was the last good Sonic game (other than Secret Rings).

i think that the Wii version's daytime stages were a little better than the ps3's. the werehog sucked on both and the daytime was full of unnessecary platforming elements and obstacles that the wii version was clear of. but both versions were lacking alot of the good parts
