hmm.. 12v Cummins with mods... I think he was just trying to allude to the fact that there was no rubber left on those tires because of lighting them up at every intersection ;-)
Dualies do suck on snow. They have some much tire surface that they ride up on the snow instead of cutting thru it. Driven 6 wheelers, 10 wheelers, and 18 semi's... Ford and Dodge dualie pick-up trucks...Yep they suck in snow... Good new snow tires do help and chains the best way to go in the worst of conditions. Have Fun!..
we always had to have a 425 gallon water tank in out dullay. we usually had to keep it about a quarter or half way filled just so we could get some traction over the drives
Something happened to me in my 2wd dually similiar to that last Summer. I had just put my Jet Ski's in the lake , it stormed the night before & the ramp was covered in seaweed. My Firestone Transforce tires didn't have enough grip to get me over the humps of seaweed. After I moved the weed junk I was fine.
@BrianFugate1 on the OLD Saabs it was connected to the front wheels. Like the old 40s - early 70s models. Haha I love Saabs, such stupid engineering, but so amazing at the same time!!
@ellectronico You do realize your E-brake only brakes the rear tires......... They would not be spinning if he had the E-brake on. Why don't you get off the computer and learn something.
@ellectronico I own basically the same truck. E-brake's operate the rear brakes only, so if he used it the truck would have stalled. What your seeing is a case of twice the surface area and half the weight per tire. Duallys have horrible traction period. People that think the extra tires make it have more are just talking out their ass. The point of a dually is to distribute weight. Depending on the setup it can also increase track width and hence stability.
@DevinL16 True, no "total conquerer", but snow tires, not mudders, are part of the answer. The dumbest statement anyone can make is "this/I never gets stuck in the snow". Everything gets stuck at one time or another if you're out in it enough. Better drivers with better equipment just get stuck less.
hahaha funny i have an f550 dually that would get stuck like this all the time

For driving with no load take off two wheels, and throw them in the back.

ellectronico 11 months ago
@ellectronico It's not a trick. The truck was just stuck - duallies are worthless in the snow.

strumem90 1 year ago
yea, its 4x4 people, he's just messing around. this COULD happen even iff you had the biggest mudders on. there is no total conquerer of snow..
