  • Madeline Kahn was a true comic genius

  • Happy Birthday, gorgeous.

  • Madeline....absolutely gorgeous

  • Attention!: Clue remake is to come out December of 2013!!!!

  • @roxy1porche2bandit3 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @roxy1porche2bandit3 ... I can NOT imagine who would play Mrs. White. Is there anyone current that compares to Madeline Kahn??? If so, I can't wait to see her!!!

  • @roxy1porche2bandit3

    booooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • I absolutely love this film, such an under-rated gem in comedy.

  • One of my all time favorite movies and my favorite Tim Curry movie.

  • Lol! Flames!

  • For Steph

  • The five people that disliked this video were obviously fans of Yvette for her jugs.

  • So funny

  • Gillian Jacobs brought me here to have lulz

  • Gill.

  • That guy in the beginning was in The Shadow.

  • By far the best moment in a flawed flick. I LOVE Madeline!

  • I own this movie for her and Tim Curry... just darn amazing character actors!!!

  • she was a GENIUS !

  • I LOVE YOU MADELINE/EUNICE/ELIZABETH!

  • 5 dislikes.... really?? I mean REALLY?

  • Heaving breaths

  • There'll never be another Madeline Kahn. This is awesome.

  • The improvisation really sells that the character felt pure, pure hatred for who she killed :P

  • You can't imagine what this was like to be 16 years old, and gay, rolling around on the floor laughing at this with friends.

  • @brokenladder99 no but i can imagine it at 12 laughing hysterically without the impulse of wanting to lick a ballsack

  • @brokenladder99 Likewise you can't imagine what it's like to be 13 years old, and a zebra, and running away from a hungry lion.

  • BEST CLIP EVER!!! :) :)

  • I love Martin Mull's reaction to Kahn's adlibbing. It either says this woman is nuts or she's a genius, I vote for the latter.

  • Madiline Kahn a comic gem

  • 4 people also have flames on the side of their face and are unhappy about it.

  • @RENTfanatic2011

    make that five!

  • @RENTfanatic2011 heaving breaths

  • LOVE this movie!!!

  • She=funny.

  • Pay attentionat the part of the movie when the guests are arguing about how they should handle the motorist. As Prof. Plum and Miss Scarlet are arguing, watch Miss White behind Prof. Plums back. It looks like she's imagining killing him or something. When you see it, you'll know what I mean.

  • My sister went on imdb and told me this was adlibbed. So I went back to the TV, rewound the video, and watched it again.Oh.My.Gosh.The film was ten times funnier, only Madeline Kahn could make me laugh like that. This is the BEST FILM ever. This movie has a great cast, aspecially Madeline, Tim Curry , and .....Who play's Mrs. Peacock? That lady,DANG,WHAT'S HER NAME?Anyway,THAT lady.If you havn't yet experienced the laughter and awsomeness of this film, you're crazy.SEE IT

  • @hobbitgirl26 Mrs. Peacock was played by Eileene Brennen (sp?), very funny actress, also was in Private Benjamin, and more recently, Jeepers Creepers

  • @zombiebowie That's why that creepy old woman with the cats in Jeepers Creepers looked familiar!!!

  • LOVE.

  • Four people deserve flames...on the side of their face...breathing...heaving breaths.

  • this is my favorite part. <3

  • This was always my favorite part of the movie lmbo!

  • i like her dress in the movie :)

  • MADELINE KAHN!!! YES! Classic Madeline Kahn

  • ROTFL OMG!!!! AHAHAHAH

  • HAHA random :).

Look at Tim Currys face at 0:22 (the butler). That reaction is just like "I see...."

  • It's a good thing when you can keep Tim Curry on his toes.

  • Wow! I remember as a kid all my friends used to find this bit hilarious...we didn't know why, we just laughed and laughed.

Madeline, you were the best: and I ain't just whistling Dixie !!!

  • lol thats my favourite part of the movie

  • Perfection.

  • I could just put this on repeat, and watch it over and over . . . never gets old.

  • A lot of great movie moments are ad libbed. Much of Die Hard's funny lines were.

  • This is my favourite bit from Clue too!

  • she was

    STÜPPING

    Evette!

    SOME NERVE!

  • What can I say. A legend who died way too soon. I'll forever miss you Madeline.

  • my sentiments exactly

  • Best. Line. Ever.

  • This is like the funniest thing ever in the history of the world.

  • @ScinLaeca358 the entire movie is hilarious

  • My favourite part of the movie-- but tied with Yvette's "Ze daggair will go fairzair into air back!"

  • MAdeline KAHN!! XD It's been ages since I've seen Clue...

  • RIP Madeline!!

She was hilarious in this movie.

  • I love this clip sfm xD

  • ROFL.

Best clip next to the "Ah, was lee-suh-nig!" part said by Yvette. Omg. Never gets old.

  • WHAT THE HELL IS SHE SAYING?!

  • the best thing about this scene is that it was adlibbed, she just made that up on the spot that's why Tim Curry was trying not to laugh and Martin Mull looked so confused lol She's such an amazing actress

  • @badlydrawnboy actually, this film was most likely shot with only one camera, meaning the close ups of Curry and Mull were done during different takes than the take of Kahn ad-libbing the line.

  • @badlydrawnboy I'm literally obsessed with her. I've been watching her movies for the past like two weeks and I just can't get enough.

    She.is.brilliant.

  • @badlydrawnboy That was an adlib? Nice on her part.

  • HEHEHE

  • madeline, tim and christopher. all in one movie. that is awsomeness!

  • That's the most funny scene from all Clue movie!!! I've seen it hundreds times and always crying from laugh!!! ;-) I will give her Oscar for this one scene!

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    that wuz so funny

  • you can tell tim curry wanted to laugh a little

  • I know! He was having a hard time keeping it together, and Martin Mull was getting ready to lose it too!

  • They all had to in some way, they probably only showed who kept the best composure of them all XD

  • LOL, this is my favorite clip too.

  • what part of the movie is this i can never figure it out... i love her

  • @0603022362 It's one of several alternate endings. The DVD has all of them. At the Cinema different screenings had different endings.

  • a toss-up between this and Mr. Green having to slap Mrs. Peacock (to stop her from screaming!) as the Crowning Moment of Funny

  • @painlessissuicide: No, Wadsworth slapping Mr. Green during the Summination is the Crowning Moment of Funny.

  • Best scene ever! ! !

  • I love this part.

  • LOL

My English class watched this for our mystery unit, and I thought this part was hilarious. I think I was the only one who understood her humor, since I was the only one laughing, along with the teacher...

It- it- the fe- it flame, flames, FLAMES, on the side of my face...

  • i WISH O I WISH i had been on the movie set for the original scripted and then Madeline's request to reshoot with her improving... a chunk of comedy HISTORY

  • is that what happened? where did you hear that from? do you know more off camera nuggets like that? do you know what was scripted? I can't imagine any confession to Yvette's murder being funnier than that!

  • There is no existing footage to my knowledge, however I found the information online from a source close to Kahn. LONG ago. I am sure a little detective work will benefit the interest!

  • it is the bestestestestest part of the movie!!! she was so funny!!!!

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART. LMFAO> I love this movie.

  • can some one plzzz explain it i dont get whats funny

  • It's mostly funny because of what happens a few seconds after this clip ends, when she keeps going on and on about the heaving breaths, and finally Tim Curry just cuts her off in mid-sentence and continues with his exposition. :)

  • ya its funny when Tim Curry cuts her off not when whoever edited this cuts off his cut off.

  • have you seen the movie?

  • This is the funniest part of this movie lmao seriously if you don't get it, totally over your head

  • I don't GET this scene? What's goingo n here? Flames? Wha-? o__O

  • I mean, I KNOW it was improvised but...

  • Mrs. White is just so weird...this is the ending of the movie where they find out that everyone was a murderer except for Mr. Greene; Mrs. White (who seemed so innocent and bizarre) is guilty of killing the maid. It's so funny because she hated Yvette so much that words couldn't do it justice. LOL this scene is the best.

  • innocent?? sure at dinner but by right after they all admitted what they were being blackmailed for and hers was the worst - murdering two of her husbands!!

    but yes...this is classic stuff

  • I love this movie, and, IMO, this is the BEST part of the movie. I literally fell on the floor laughing when I first saw this scene.

  • LMFAO

  • That was one of my favorite parts from the movie!

  • this was just on tvland!!!

  • i have never laughed so hard in a movie until i watched clue.

  • A remake of this movie will only ruin it...

  • bad news then: they intend on doing on for 2010, If I'm correct.

  • i know. it will be terrible

  • 2011

  • 2011 not 2010

  • the best lines in the whole movie :)

  • Hilarious. She was great in this.

  • Madeline Kahn was such a genius at comedy. This line has stuck with me since I was 8 when the film came out originally. It just captures the film perfectly - a silly, funny and genius portrayal of a classic board game. No one could do this today.

  • Madeline Kahn was a legend

    R.I.P

  • OMG!! lmfao!

  • That's how it could of happened.

  • they cut off the end when wadsworth interrupts her! thats such a good part too

  • Madeline Kahn was the best!!!! OMG she was so funny in every movie she was in! I honeslty miss her. R.I.P.

  • Mrs. White was my favorite character in the movie. Madeline played her brilliantly.

  • This is by far one of the funniest things that I have ever seen in a movie. Great actress.

  • amazing film. they had better not remake it. you're not going to, in a million years, find a cast that could make a board game into a classic film ever again. it's just NOT possible. everybody was amazing. especially Ms. Kahn. the delivery of that line was terrific. and Martin Mull's face: 'What the fuck?'

  • I can't stop watching this. So good.

  • I laugh so fucking much every time I see this or even think of it it's getting embarrassing.

  • Oh my god. this is my favorite clip ever!

  • (Is scared) Somehow, I got put into the role of Mrs. White for my school play (since our school's so small)... I've never actually acted before... I think I'll really screw up, seeing this again. O.O

  • Boy this clip always makes me laugh. I think she is so damn funny ! Check her out on Johnny Carson

  • XD I laugh so hard at this every time I see this movie...it's my favorite part!

  • ah the best scene from one of the greatest movies ever! RIP MK

  • Madeline Kahn <333

  • Brilliant scene, one of the best in the film. I think we've all felt anger like that at some point, I know I have lol!

  • lolz i love this old movie

  • such a great fuckin' line!!!

  • LMAO! My favorite part of the movie!!

  • One of the best scenes in comedic cinema. Madeline Kahn was utterly brilliant here!

  • I disagree...It is probably THE best comedic cinema scenes :) Anyone who doesn't laugh at this - I don't wanna know them, lol.

  • One of the funniest scenes ever!

  • Madeline Khan will always be one of the few truly funny ladies in movies! I love her!

  • Madeline Khan ad-libbed that.

  • hahah 0:22 tim curry's trying not to laugh?

i love that man =D awesome movie

  • He really is trying not to laugh! haha Not an easy task considering how funny MK is :)

  • I think everyone's trying not to laugh there! :-)

    Yes, Tim ROCKS!

  • One of the best moments on film ever, really.

  • this will always make me laugh no matter what

  • This has become a favourite running joke between me and my fiance over the years. "FLAAAAAMES! On the side of my face!"

  • Awesome. RIP Madeline Kahn!!!

  • Mustard is so confused xD

  • probably because she was improvising

  • And Tim Curry looks so impressed!

  • It was an ad lib, which is why it sounds so insane, and so very Kahn.

  • Heaving breaths...

    This is so freaking hilarious.

  • Clue is one of my favourite movies <33

  • It's a question of opinion really. I find this scene hillarious because the actress is incredibly funny portraying this particular scene...the "f-flames...flames on the...side of my face" - It's just so hillarious. Don't you get it? She's trying to describe a rage attack.

  • More likely it just looks cut how she says the 'flames' part. How she is so speechless to describe her feelings. Everyone else in my family finds it funny, I just find it cute is all.

  • It's how it goes from what is supposed to be a passionate and profound confession to a confused and inarticulate way to describe the rage she had.

  • I get it now.

  • This is definitely the funniest part in the whole movie.

  • ha

Glad to hear others enjoy this scene also, probably my fave in the movie.

  • Incredible actress...Great scene, loved her in Mixed Nuts too. She is missed

  • According to imdb trivia, Madeline ad libbed this part.

  • I don't know, but I don't disagree. I always thought she did, especially when you see the Butler look dumbfounded and about to crack (!) It looked VERY ad libbed, and I guess it was funnier to keep it in. Whatever, it was still funny...

  • Of course this was ad libbed. It looks too natural to be a memorised script - this is probably one of the best improvisations ever..

  • So funny! Whenever me and my sister say we hate something, the other will quote this scene.

  • This is one of the best parts!

  • I love this part. The way she talks and her hand movements just appaeal to me.

  • I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUCE!! I HAVE NOW MEMORIZED THE ENTIRE SCRIPT FOR MRS. WHITE........................i have a lot of free time!

    rip madeline kahn

  • yes, unfortunely...on December 3, 1999 she leaved us due to Cancer.....That was a terrible day for the Enterainment world and or the world in general.

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! she died too young

  • I hated her so... much it it the fe it.. flame... flames.. flames on the sides of my face breathing..bre.. breathla heaving breaths.

  • lol. Guess u got the ad libb down pat...

  • Thanks :) Great Movie

  • This is my favorite movie and she is my favorite character in the movie. This part cracks me up every time!
