  • This is actually kind of sickening that the Philippines does things like this.

    This makes me think...

There must be a lot of smart people in the Philippines dictating these phenomenon. Maybe directly, it means a few thousand bucks for an agency and its corrupt. But indirectly... who is allowing all of this? They're very smart for doing this.

This video actually gave me chills. But maybe that's because it's so late at night and the music is creepy.

  • @dineroRM It's meant to be chilling. The matter was resolved eventually.

  • poor book :( but i guess it served as a martyr

  • very moving video. kudos to all who did their share in pushing this cause.

  • Great. Good luck on this. I'll share this.

  • Gerry ~ WOW what a powerful vid ~ thank you so much for sharing this, and also educating others about the cause....

Soooo, how many books do I need to send over the pond?? :D

    I kid, I kid...seriously dude, very powerful

  • NOW!!.. UR BEING INTERESTING!!!....

  • aw this is so damn right.

  • Tsk Tsk Tsk ...

    I smell conspiracy =_=

or just the higher ups being dumb because they don't read books ?

they say it's not educational because they don't understand the book.

  • You were making a point by burning this book. I wonder how many people in the Philippines are kept illiterate because of the violation of the Florence agreement. The Philippine people should better themselves through education and reading.

  • I never knew about this...great cause...

  • That's the state for you.

  • Hopefully this vid will help light the fire of protest that spreads across cyberspace. Sign the petition at the petitionsite- search 'book blockade'. No citizenship requirement. Economic censorship should concern everyone.

  • Great video Gerry.

Best of luck with your campaign. It sounds like a cause worth fighting for.

BTW I read that John Hersey book about Hiroshima years ago :)

  • Let's help spread the word!!! I'm so fired up by this issue... grrrrr....

  • The Philippine govt are the puppets of money. All they do is TAKE but DONT GIVE! They dont seem to realise that they cannot take their wealth with them in the afterlife. They were born with nothing and they will leave this earth with nothing.

  • I hope that the people of the Philippines can get the government to change its ways. Keep us updated on what is going on, Gerry. Thanks.

  • Wow that was a pretty strong video. The idea that they are doing that is sad and angering. They need to watch out before the people take action.

  • What right does a government have to say what is and isn't educational? So often, people forget that creativity and inspiration comes in all forms and oftentimes from very unexpected places.

By violating an agreement that helps foster a fluid exchange of ideas, they are slowing that potential for creativity.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • The one thing that can get us out of poverty and still they leech us out of this Right.

More mammon-worshippers in our system, I honestly think they believe they can take all their wealth in the afterlife...

  • im gonna help! fight the power!
