easily the best rambo movie of all time. its smart, acting is great (especially from stallone which i felt deserved an oscar nomination), story while not deep, is very well told, the action (of what is there) is fantastic. one of my favorite movies of all time. if i would have to list my top 10 favorite movies, this would be on there. the sequels, while i do love, they didnt leave a huge impact on me like this one did (except for the 4th one).

Him placing the traps was what Vietnam vets faced in the war. So it stands to reason that he, as 'Special forces' would know how to strike fear in the 'enemy' and place similar traps, that was the point. First Blood is a classic movie in my humble opinion.

i agree .. this movie, might well be, the greatest action movie of all time... and that makes it one of the best movies of all time... which believe it or not, makes stallone one of the best actors of all time...he doesnt even speak... and yet..when he does finally come out and open up... thats a very moving moment.. by the way, nice work mate.... dont be afraid of the 80s... they rocked

i love this movie i grew up watching movies like this and im not from the 80s my parents grew up in the 70s and 80s they taught me all about those decades

Nice review! Looking forward to the next! You should also check out the novel by David Morrell Josh! It's a lot more intense than the movie, and much darker, the chief is developed more, but otherwise it's the same story.

@CosmoShidan Thanks for the recommendation! I've been searching my local bookstores for it already actually and they all seem to be out of stock right now. Still, for how much I enjoyed the movie "First Blood" I'm definately going to have to check it out. It might take me a week or two to get a hold of it but I'll have to order it in, especially if it's darker. =) Thanks for the comment!
