The point is that love is the only way to keep people from fighting over race-not comments directed towards one man or the other. Differences in cultures aside: is not the "golden rule" something that is universally understood? Treat others the way you yourself wish to be treated. Apparently, the teachers' aide does not mind being treated that way. But that still does not legitimize her treating someone else, especially a child, that way.

I would have been down that school as quick as a bolt of lightning and sheared the hair off the person who had done it.

The treaty was signed a long time ago. It needs to be updated, like all contracts are. I feel it very unfair how there are even worse off people in this world and it is just being given freely to native people.
