I think cod stole so many ideas from halo; survival, theater, daily and weekly challenges. Halo even has premade classes with the good weapons on the map. Halo is simply the better game
I've played hundreds of first-person shooters over the course of my decade long gaming career, and I can say with the utmost certainty, Halo: Reach is the best of the lot. Masterpiece.

Halo and COD are both great games. The irony is that the developers, whilst still trying to compete with each other, don't argue like the crazy fan boys do.
I'd just like to point out that there were crap-loads of things i expected in Reach that never happened. Like riding into an apocalyptic battle with heaps of warthogs, flying close to burning buildings, and extremely epic space battles with wreckage chases and heaps of space-ships. Nothing like that happened, unless in a cut-scene, and I'm a little disappointed. I mean, COD managed to deliver everything in its trailer, same with Killzone.

There are more than 30 earth-like planets know as of now and it is known that Mars and Venus could have had life. This is what I like. I don't wanna have to worry about like the flood or traveling or any shit like that. I like Reach because it's more of a war game. Your up against an enemy taking over your planet, not swapping from the flood to the covenant in order to take control of rings
@halo31004 halo reach was before 1-4 but wars was 20 years before the halo event. reach is a planet that hides earth from the onslaught from the covenant. after reach, the covenant fail to learn earths posisjon but reach falls and most of the spartans dies and the whole unsc fleet is destroyed. but a small human vessel, Pillar Of Autumn escapes with the last (exept jun of course) spartan. the vessel is owned by captain keyes and as they escaped they did a blind jump. thats how halo was found.
Halo: Combat Evolved was typical. Nothing special.
Halo 2 was lacking a "graspable" storyline. I couldn't get my head around it.
Halo 3 was too focused on Chief being the biggest badass ever surviving ridiculous situations.
Halo 3: ODST was pretty awesome. ODST's, droppin' from the sky and silencin' yo asses.
Halo: Reach was, as edw19909 said, the most beautiful game I ever played. It was emotional, to an extent and had just the right amount of action. Just amazing. You struck gold here, Bungie.

Bungie started planning reach at the same time as they started planing Combat Evolved. play Combat Evolved and halo 2. both of the cutscenes says Reach. in Combat Evolved they said: Keyes: how did they... Cortana: get here first? covenant ships has always been faster. and as tracking us all the way from REACH. In halo 2: Admiral: Something is wrong. the fleet that destroyed reach was fifty times this size.

@sverredennye True. And CoD actually is taking credit for things Halo (or Bungie) came up with. Like firefight (Zombies) Theater, Next thing you know they're gonna be taking forge and making it into their own BS. Plus, Halo matchmaking is a lot more organized. First of all, Halo has all players be fair with the same load-outs as the other team. And also same number of players. In CoD, what they did was that there can be a team of 9 vs 3 with rockets on one team, and pistols/other..

There are more than 30 earth-like planets know as of now and it is known that Mars and Venus could have had life. If there are 3 planets in just ONE solar system, can you imagine what can be found with the 100 billion stars in milky way?
Also, the Halo universe is so realistic that the Halo games exist there.

You have missed the point of what a video game is - FICTION. A form of escapism from real life by taking you to a new world where you can do things that you can't in real life. @halo31004 halo reach was before 1-4 but wars was 20 years before the halo event. reach is a planet that hides earth from the onslaught from the covenant. after reach, the covenant fail to learn earths posisjon but reach falls and most of the spartans dies and the whole unsc fleet is destroyed. but a small human vessel, Pillar Of Autumn escapes with the last (exept jun of course) spartan. the vessel is owned by captain keyes and as they escaped they did a blind jump. thats how halo was found.

Halo: Combat Evolved was typical. Nothing special.
Halo 2 was lacking a "graspable" storyline. I couldn't get my head around it.
Halo 3 was too focused on Chief being the biggest badass ever surviving ridiculous situations.
Halo 3: ODST was pretty awesome. ODST's, droppin' from the sky and silencin' yo asses.
Halo: Reach was, as edw19909 said, the most beautiful game I ever played. It was emotional, to an extent and had just the right amount of action. Just amazing. You struck gold here, Bungie.

2 is great, and ok for the age. AND the story is not lacking
3 ODST yeah its a good game, but i do not recommend it.
3 is the one that kept the storys together. and the only game you can fight with the flood
halo wars is a strategy game for XBox and we should be thank full for it.
