I'm a big fan of the book and although there are huge differences in this version it's keeps with faith with book by some clever dialogue between the characters. The Vincent Price version is also good and you can see it's influence on this version.

I dunno where the "Definition of a scientist..." quote comes from but it's sublime.

I havent seen Omega Man, but I know I am Legend is not even close to the book. The book is about a disease that turns people into vampires, and/or living infected people. What the book was about was one man (who hunted the infected) becoming what vampires are to us: legend.

The Omega Man is the movie adaptation of the book I Am Legend. Now there's a new movie adapation of the same title. Omega Man is a great film, I hope I Am Legend will do it justice.
