@TheDazzler14, it has a secondary chamber at the front of the exhaust that restricts it, i purchased mine from a shop not to far from home, once you fit a new system you have to re jet the carby too.
The most i got out of it de-restricted was around the 175km/h mark. not to bad considering it's only a 125 2 stroke with nothing but a different exhaust system and a couple of different jets.
yeah yeah but these bikes are the same a derbi bike aint they ducati make both of these bikes . and its like yamaha and mbk both the same bike just diffrent names made by japan and spain
Man i love these bikes, i have an Aprilia RS 125 myself and my freind has a Mito, i like everything about the Mito its gorgeous but im happy with my choice, they are both awesome machines :) Happy Riding guys!
the bike i'm getting is a 1998 evo already de restricted, it's gonna be awsome, i'm abit nervous tho as it's my 1st bike but all should be good in time :)
Thats not a bad price what year? They are a reasonably quick bike for a 125 being 2 stroke they pick up pretty fast. Best to check into getting it de-resticted if it's already not done. Have fun stay upright
Gee thats a garage full, no i did all the work myself just did my homework on the net. Im not sure what the laws are in the UK it's better to ring whomever deals with that side of things and ask them. Good luck though and enjoy your 2 bikes.
Dont get it de-restricted you will blow it up trust me.....!!!!
it's against the law to have it done when your on your L plates..... Nice bike though i've got the the Cagiva mito the quick enough for what they are i've had 85mph out of it ....
I honestly wouldn't be able to answer that question as i am in Australia and don't know what the laws are over there. Maybe give your local DMV a call and see what they say. Cheers
Hey, I have few questions to ask, please respond :P... How much did you pay for it, and where did you buy it? Also, whats the top speed, and have you done something with your engine, sprokets, anything, please tell me cus I'm thinking on getting this bike for myself... And what do you think, is this a good choice for 16 year-old rider to buy this thing and ride it? Looking forward to your response :D
it would be a good bike for a 16yr old they are very easy to ride and very light. All i have done to it is change the exhaust and jets and a few cosmetic things, i got mine for $2800 Aus. Restricted top speed is around 125km/h de resticted is around 160-170km/h. In europe they are popular over here in oz there pretty rare. hope that helps.
Well, in my country the bike costs about 1200-2200 euros, which is not so much for this kind of bike... I'm in Europe, and you're right, they are popular... Thanks man, it helped, keep up the good work :D
On the stock exhaust it has an extra chamber to restict the power output and i had to re size the jets in the carb to suit the new system, also the airbox needs slight mods done to it aswell to allow more airflow to the carb. It doesn't take much time to do or a mechanic to do it i did it all myself, i do all my own work on the bike cause it's very easy to work on and i am in no way a mechanic. Cheers
I have a yamaha aerox. and its crap. Maybe the bigger bikes are more reliable but i would go for a cagiva or aprilia. Seeing as the yzr125 only go about 80mph. but depending on how old you are and what you want it for.
please ride it safe i dont wanna find out that some other poor fuka has trashed there yellow mito, i wrote myn off in october last year im making a video of it atm. she will be just as reliable as any 4stroke providin u giv her good quality oil, dnt hold it on the limiter in any gear and just take good care of it 20 mins a week cleaning isnt a lot concidering the cost if you dont take it easy
Sure will mate, fully synthetic all the way and she certainly does get looked after it's my pride and joy. Hope to see your vid soon and have you got another bike yet?
sweet bike!!.... I got my mito 2 years ago and still customizing it, just baught some mv agasta f4 yellow mirrors with da indercaters in. Thought i wud let u no cuz they look fukin sick but cost a bit(£135) cuz its of the daddy of all bikes..
It certainly does easily reach 140km/h and depending on how hard i want to push it i can get 160km/h out of it. I have heard overseas models are restricted mine was restricted and would only just get over 110km/h but i have since removed them.
I personally have never ridden the sachs or seen one for that matter, i looked one up on goggle nice looking bike though, it's really just a matter of personal prefrence maybe ride both and see what you think. I didn't have choice when i got mine it was a finance thing the mito is a very easy bike to ride and lots of fun especially after it is de-restricted from 14hp to 34hp. Hope that helps good luck with your decision.
None, as a mito owner id advise you to get a good jap bike, jap 125s are generally 4 stroke which makes them slower, but at least they run for more than 10 mins, get a good 2nd hand 125 honda nsr or just go straight for the test and straight for a big bike
thanks for the advice, after a lot of contemplating last few weeks, decided not to buy either.found a place that sells the Yamaha yzf r125 2nd hand, and although more expensive then the Sachs and cagiva, i think it is a reliable 4stroke that is good looking.I have heard no horror stories about it unlike the other 2,so i feel if i pay more 1st day, it will end up saving me in the long run on maintenance and servicing and Yamaha is a well known trusted manufacturer.Hoping its the sensible decision :D
we'll ya ur right but if you can put up with all the shit a 2stoke gives u den it's worth it, but my brother has the kawasaki 250r 08 plate and i have the mito 125, 01 plate and the mito will merc the 250 allday long!!! 2 sum it up try n stick 2 2stoke we'll till u get a propa bike!
Sure sounds sensible enough lol, yeah you couldnt go wrong with Yamaha for reliability and plus its a lovely looking bike too, wish you the best of luck with it!
Thats great im sure you will enjoy it just make sure you de-restrict it to get more power out of it, they are fun stock but when you change a few things it makes them even better. You will have to send some photo's of yours to my link.
what did you modify to derestrict it?
Nice one!

Yes it is a 125cc,maybe with a cog change for better gearing it would reach 200k's i've only had this at 160k's.
