Farm price has nothing to do with soil quality.. Sanuki has stone so all buildings are cheaper than in normal province :P Fertility results in wealth provided by farms in province.

the reason the farm was so much cheaper was because of teh quality in soil in tosa it was average in sanuki it was poor

Good part! Have to kep an eye on your trade routes when you attack though i case they get raided buy that enemy navy wandering around the upper straight. Your income could drop in the pot if they can sit there for very long.

convert to christianity to save your people's souls! seriously though, converting to christianity would be an advantage if you want early firearms and extra trade, which would be good if you are a large empire with a lot of enemies, however, by that time you probably already have researched it yourself and should have taken over the tradeposts. If it would drastically effect your citizen happiness you shouldn't do it.

why dont you attack this hatakeyama region the got only one left its next to you and you can have trade with other clans near there but you are doing a great job with the economy so far

This policy for economy first is a must because you cant wage a war if your starving your soldiers and country.

Make sure that you have a sizeable navy to defend your trade centers. Also, you should really build bow KOBAYAs becasue they are necesary when fielding an early navy with their speed and fire arrow capacity. The rule for research should be Chi first so that Bushido doesn't take very long after a few Chi techs. Also, Sake Dens are far more useful than markets, which aren't worth upgrading. Christianity would be good if you can deal with the revolts and subjugat the Christian Ito very easily.

Do the useugi thing nd capture a settlement cuz u could use that +50 to ur diplomacy to get more trade.

@lionheartx10 you should send two or three medium bunes to accompany your both your trading fleets in case some one attacks them btw try getting a trade agreement with the uesugi or the hojo

turtle up a little more and get kyoshu fast, after that you can turtle again til about 1570/1580 ( given it's a long campaign ) when that time comes you should have the buildings, units, economie and time left over, to do a type of blitzkrieg and take the rest of the lands you need. this is what i tend to do and it works good for me.

Here is another phonetic name for you: Uesugi is pronounced wea-su-gee.

That is "wea" like in "weapon", "su" as in "soup", and "gee" with a hard G. Also, you should only barely pronounce the U in the "su"-part.

This is one of the more complicated names, but having played them a lot, I've finally learned it. :)
