  • Это только доказывает, что она не умеет кататься на коньках :-) Неужели у нее совсем нет чувства стыда и собственного достоинства? Смотрю видео и самой неловко за нее делается.

  • Jamie's manipulativeness is what really bothers me. She knew as well as anyone that skaters moving as a pair have the right of way because obviously they can't move as freely as a single skater, yet instead of accepting responsibility for her carelessness she actually had the nerve to imply Anton was at fault. She demonstrated a complete lack of class and sportsmanship at the Olympics.

  • @accw Amen! The little linebacker was going full speed&simply didn't care. She was aiming for them.Look at the tape again.Anton and Elena had their backs to her.Elena almost crashed into the Chinese pair as a result of Jamies' actions. And Sandy and Scottie?! I can't recall a more blatant example of partianship.Jamie never met a camera she didn't like afterward to tell 'the story.'I'm glad most do not recognize them as true Olympic champs. She nearly reinjured a skater-Elena-who had brain surgery!

  • Unless Jamie has her eyes on the back of her head she couldn't see Anton. they show the accident from two different angles and i can perfectly see Jamie was coming right at him. was it on purpose? she knows better than anyone else, but i doubt she'll tell the truth.

  • the canadian girl was lucky. wt if anton was injured? she would be responsible for that. even if anton was not injured, i still think it was too much for her to get the gold. she was already lucky once. why was she so selfish to demand for a second time?

in this sport, there are many people who had faced even more cruel judging than she did. she was already very fortunate to get a medal. think of the chinese skaters.

  • did Elena see her? She was always looking behind her.

  • Elena and Anton were the real winners, and not Canadians.

  • canadian cow

  • What a bitch!

  • you know what....thats pretty rude of you....obviously shes not i bet the other pair agrees it was an accident and wouldnt think shes a bitch

shit happens i bet youve bumped into people as well

  • what a fucker?! hate that bitch!

  • eta sale prosto suchka

  • she really a woman? О_о

    like a lightweight wrestler.

  • Honestly the pressure first of all....she was probably so focused on her routine that she didn't see him until it's too late because they are going at a certain SPEED people. She probably didn't have enough time to stop.

This happened years ago...it's time to stop debating lol.

    They both got gold.

    People.

    It's time to move on.

  • twice?? She did it twice!!!! When I watched this video first time I had the same opinion, but then I found another one with second crash (at the end of the video)

    watch?v=YNJB8E-OELs&feature=related

Now I feel strange about this situation. Both times she was seeing them. Looks like she tried to destroy their concentration.

  • try to check skating rules at least ones. She was responsible that moment.

  • @cobrareflection-READ the rules re: Pair Skating during warm-up. She was doing a solo element, looking at Anton and slammed right into him.Move on?...yes THEY'VE move on bringing @ this odious CoP's,through their actions, demanding getting a Gold Medal, putting the Sport on Life Support.Lloyd Eisler said " It put a blemish on our Sport."Chris Dean said were this held in Europe or Asia,it would have gone away as it should've after 2 days.S&P are not mentioned among the great.Known for their infamy.

  • It was an accident through and through....

She didn't look and was in her own world...same with the couple..whatever the rules state, they should have been aware as well...

    No one was hurt...

  • Sale is such an auwful person, she just tried to disturb the preparation of B/S. She is jealous and scandalous

  • to kill for gold ^:)

  • it is just a classic situation in icerink....all the time in all countries have womans problems with orientations...womans from childhood are standing in the way of other skaters....nothing change when are they adult....same chickens....shot em all

  • It was an accident that should never have happened: Read the description of the clip. The rules state skaters doing solo elements cede the ice and priority to the pair doing pair elements.Anton was just about to lift Elena over his head-clearly a pair move-when Jamie looking right at him skated INTO him. Pairs are normally very cautious, very aware of this due to inherent dangers associated w/pair skating, especially during the warm-up. Can't remember when it EVER happened in pairs until this.

  • It was an accident-but in interviews afterward Sale implied it was Anton's fault which really put me off.

  • @faeryquene-Oh she is such a spoiled sport and a spoiled brat.NBC was greedily filming her ' heartbreak,'while Elena and Anton's national anthem was being played. She couldn't control herself for 1:50 seconds. That crash was just as much if not more HER fault as Anton's. Unless he has eyes in the back of his head he couldn't see her.

  • this clip doesnt get the full picture so its hard to determine...

  • nobody's fault... these things happens.

  • First of all this didn't happen twice, and this video is not even from the begining of the collision, if u saw when it happen u would know it was an accident !

  • Very bad! Any ways are good for it. And, all the same, Canadians then were false champions.

  • she ran into him once.. they showed it again.. thats why they said again.. as far as anything goes.. i dont get what the big deal was, they were both skating backwards and not looking, accidents happen. if you skate you know that, use your eyes guys!!

  • the RUSSIANS the OnLY winnerssssssss!!

  • She did it on purpose. No doubt - she saw them and they didn't!

  • Don't know whether it was on purpose but she was flying around the ice w/no regard as to whom would be in the way or get hurt. The Rules clearly state the Pair doing a Pair element has the right of way for safety reasons. She just didn't care WHO got in HER way.She slammed into Anton&there's ALL this concern for Jamie. Nothing is said @ Anton and the Chinese warming up that THEY nearly collided with because of Jamie's thoughtlessness-but's it all Jamie, Jamie. Believe it.She just didn't care.

  • I don't think she ran into him twice. The anouncers said, "There it is again" as in instant replay of same collision.

You can see it was just an accident.

  • after S&P got their copy set gold, anton said "two great countries, two great pairs"

what a gentleman he is, this is what I call dignity and grace

  • "Jamie was stunned"?! Who cares about Jamie? What about Anton who definately got hurt by her carelessness. She collided facing him - he on the other hand couldn't have prevented it or seen her. That collision cost B/S dearly.

  • I can NOT stand Sele/Pelletier. They should have just taken the silver medal and shut up. What sore sports, cry babies.

  • If this accident had occured 3 or 4 seconds later Elena would've been in an overhead position- they were setting up for a lift. Jamie's actions, her thoughtlessness, unsportmanslike behavior nearly caused Elena to run into the Chinese team. What really irritates me is the announcers making excuses for her. Nothing is said @ Anton or the rest of the skaters---Jamie's ' collateral damage.'Too bad if you get hurt warming up w/her because I tell you: nothing could hurt that blocky, stocky bullet.

  • ITA.

  • i hope anton was not hurt

as for jamie, i have nothing much to say

  • she collided into him twice!!!

    an accident?

  • No way and accident, astridbelge. You are right.

  • jamie is such a sore loser

  • I highly doubt that any of them did it on purpose. Attempting to crash into each other on the off chance the other would get injured is really risky- they could have knocked themselves out

  • If she collided into him ONCE, I may believe it as an accident

    but TWICE, and always ANTON!!

it is much harder to explain it off as accident

  • It was only once... don't know where the confusion is but yes, it was once.

  • I'm far from a fan of Jamie Sale, but I doubt very much that this was anything other than an accident.

  • to be honest, it doesn't look like that big of a collision, so I'm not sure why it was made a big deal. They had their backs turned to each other and it just happened, no one was hurt, so why was it considered that she did it on purpose?

  • no way was that on purpose. Jamie was very shaken up and upset. she would not ruin her own warm-up like that on purpose.

  • Why would she risk injuring herself as well as her opponent?

Better do a Tonya Harding in that case surely and you yourself go injury free to have more chance in that case to win.

I refuse to believe she did it on purpose!

  • whats the big deal? it happens at times.. in any sport actually. Here, Jamie wasn't her, not did Anton got hurt. Whats all this fuss? it's a trivial situation, presented as if a big deal.. all due to mass media.. thank you very much..

  • To even suggest that Jamie or the Russian Team ran into each other to hurt one another is absolutely ridiculous. Plus, the collision was in the warm-up and the programs were not even skated yet. How could Jamie have known that the Russians were going to have a clean program? Likewise for the Russians. In the end both skated amazing programs, and it was up to the judges to decide. Maybe you just choose not to notice all the accidents that happen in skating. Ever heard of Jessica Dube?

  • I'm thinking if anton's bubble had to do with this

maybe he was really hurted by jamie

  • u noticed the disapproving look that the Chinese guy gave to jamie at the end? even he had his doubts that it was an accient

  • Да эта дура явно по ноге Антону врезала, неужели все слепые, будьте объективны!!!

  • Well, I'm glad both were okay and really hope it wasn't on purpose...

  • Why would either of them do it on purpose. Any three of them could have gotten hurt including the one doing it on purpose. Why would you even think it could be on purpose?

    It happens.

  • I remember seeing this live on CBC...the announcer totally flipped her wig

  • I hope it wasn't on purpose, but who knows?

Interesting enough, it looks like Sikharulidze was hurted with his leg and shoulder, but everybody worry about Jamie.

  • During the warmups the skaters are pretty focusd on getting ready and practicing jumps spins footwork, etc. Its pretty easy to not pay attention and collisions do happen. I do think that this was an accident, you do not want to hurt yourself right before a performance. The only skater that I know of to cause near misses is Sasha Cohen. I think is wa the 04 or 05 nationals, during the warmup she was consistently getting into near misses with Kwan.

  • Where do you find a video of Sasha doing that?

I think that if your skating by yourself you should be extra cautious of whats going on around you which means the pair teams

  • It's an unwritten [ or maybe even a WRITTEN ] Rule in Pairs: if the Pair team is warming up together, the solo pair skater warming up, always yields to the Pair. Individual not only SHOULD but NEEDS to pay extra special attention to where THEY are , how fast they're going. The inherent dangers w/lifts, throws, etc. which are a part of Pair Skating can go wrong easily enough w/out a solo Pairs skater flying around the rink not paying attention.

  • I'm certain this wasn't intentional. I'm sure these skaters are totally into themselves during warm ups and things like this just happen sometimes. Jamie looked to shocked to have done it on purpose. Also, even if she hurt Anton in the collision, she could easily have hurt herself in the attempt and then where would they be? No, it was an accident.

  • How many times things like that happen? In pairs - I can't remember anything like that in the past.I remember Shevchenko and Baiul collision at OG,there were few in dances ,but never in the pairs!Ones the pair is doing ANY pair element the collision may end with death or severe injuries, that is why all the sportmen are extremely carefull at warm-ups. Jamie wasn't - I don't know wheather it was on purpose or not- the fact is that she didn't care about other people around.

  • Jamie has always struck me as a bit of a bitch. To be honest I think she got what she deserved if she had been hurt.

  • That's just plain mean! What if she broken an arm, a knee, a rib, or worse partially paralized like Paul Binabose.

    That's a terrible $h!tty thing to say.

  • If she had one of those things happen to her I wouldnt cry. There are much better people than Jamie "arrogant bitch" Sale who have had much worse things than that happen to them.

  • No she's just a good actress. Looking too shocked? Please! Besides-in pairs, the pair warming up TOGETHER is more at risk of a serious injury. A pair skater warming up solo has the responsibility of being safe and SLOW whatever element he/she may be doing warming up.

  • I don't agree. I'm not willing to think that meanly of Jamie. Was she careless? Yes. But that doesn't mean she did it on purpose. She was probably super nervous and lost her focus. I bet if you asked Anton he would be of the same opinion. It's one thing to dislike someone's skating, which everyone is entirely entitled to do--it's another to accuse them of lying, cheating, and sabotage.
