  • Long thought of as outsiders, followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are enjoying a newfound acceptability and their church's profile has risen in politics, theatre and sports.

"This is really a wonderful American story," says Jon Butler, a professor of religious history at Yale University. "Mormons were always seen as very different. Now they've become just other Christians. They've become as interesting as Presbyterians.

  • At approximately 15,000 square feet, the facility will serve more than 500 members of the LDS church in the Sonoma Ranch and Iron Horse communities and surrounding areas of Helotes. Three services held each Sunday typically draw up to 250 people at each one, officials said.

  • It's not just in ads sponsored by the church. On college campuses, city streets and countless style blogs, a young generation of Mormons has adopted a fashion-forward urban aesthetic (geek-chic glasses, designer labels and plenty of vintage) that wouldn't look out of place at a Bushwick party.

  • But the boundaries of Mormon style are expanding. The highly visible "I'm a Mormon" ad campaign (the subject of a major push on television, billboards, the subway and the Internet) seeks to quash strait-laced stereotypes by showing off a cool, diverse set of Mormons, including, besides Mr. Flowers, a leather-clad Harley aficionado, knit-cap-wearing professional skateboarder and an R & B singer with a shaved head.

  • Really, when was the last time you read Leviticus all the way through? Or any of the 42 chapters of Ezekiel that are not in the seminary reading list (where six chapters are recommended) or the Sunday school student guide (which only asks for two complete chapters and four partial chapters)?

  • may i please have some examples of the fallacies you are referring to?

  • @ShatterYourillusions Really??

  • @omiolo ah. My mistake, I thought you were arguing for the opposite.

This video analogy is very unclear by the way. The reason is because I can't tell which one is the bigger idiot, pseudo-King Arthur who is out of touch with reality and gets arrested at the end, or this knight who stands for what he believes in even though he is beaten and in denial.

  • @ShatterYourillusions

The Black Knight is the straw man, King Arthur is interchangeable depending on your point of view.

The actual movie has nothing to do with the analogy.

  • @ShatterYourillusions I think that is the point.

  • The truth is that many of the allegations are taken out of context,

are presented with a negative spin, come from less reliable sources,

or are simply false. While some feel they "should' know about it,

there really should be no expectation for the Church to teach things

about Joseph Smith that aren't true, simply so people are familiar

with those claims. False allegations remain false, even if they are

    from a long time ago.

  • Some are lulled

into a false sense of security believing that their testimonies are

unshakable. It is with that attitude they venture onto the Internet

to read what others have to say about our beliefs. They may soon

discover that the Church and its history is often conveyed in a

fashion that is totally foreign to what they have learned.

  • @omiolo Yes many degreed BYU professors have been outspoken proponents about the fact that while they were employed by FARMS and FAIR to write less than honest scholarly sounding articles to refute anti-mormon truths. They criticism the LDS corps. Unscrupulous tactics that they use to keep less intellectually sophisticated mormons in the fold and tithing. They criticize these LDS corp owned publications of heterodox scholorship. Of twisting and contorting the truth to get plausible answers.

  • @aimeecurry46 "to write less than honest scholarly sounding articles"

YOU just made that up. Fabricated it from your very mind. Are you PROUD of yourself?

  • @omiolo Actually that came from a former BYU Professor and one time Fair LDS and FARMS writer named Gary M. Woller. You can also read all of the similar comments made by other BYU Professor's in regaurds to Grant Palmers ex-communication for questioning the hypocrises of the LDS.corp. "whatever it takes, should be the LDS apoligeticists mantra"

  • @aimeecurry46 "to Grant Palmers ex-communication for questioning the hypocrises of the LDS.corp"

What did Grant Palmer in his book say about the Salamander Letters? LOL. I think NO One has read Palmers book.

  • w

    t

    FALCONBIRD!

  • Every mormon believes in a religion founded by a nutjob who stuck his head in a hat and deciphered magical text that appeared in the darkness.

That should be good enough to dismiss this wacked out religion but nope. Mormons are just too stupid to not buy into that crap.

Fact: If anyone did what Joseph Smith did to found the mormon church in this day and age, they'd be jailed and ridiculed by nearly everyone. And even in Joseph Smith's time, that is what happened to him! But look at you, mormon

  • @satancouldkillyounow If he was brought to trial today on the grounds of fraud he would be convicted by the DNA evidence alone!!! The Lamanites are Mongolian Decent not Hebraic. It's amazing that there are so many people blinded to the truth.

  • She said the history of Relief Society teaches Church members that Heavenly Father knows His daughters and loves them. “He has given them specific responsibilities, and He has spoken to and guided them during their mortal missions. Additionally, the history of Relief Society elevates and validates the standing of women and demonstrates how they work in companionship with the faithful priesthood leaders.”

  • hahaha

  • "It was a miracle," Nelson said. "All those Scout projects, Women's Conference projects, you always hear about those. We actually used (the kits) for real."

Thursday night's evening of service for the 2010 Women's Conference found Nelson, whose wife was one of the conference volunteers, stacking boxes of completed newborn kits to be taken to the LDS Church's Humanitarian Center for future needs.

"I just hope what we're doing here will have the same result," he said. "To lighten the load."

  • yet the church its self does not know how to let go it constantly attacks other peoples lives and it lies about a lot of things. Think of this you have probably heard of Mark Hofmann and how he tricked the LDS church into buying Forged documents now here is a question if the "so called prophets and apostles" really talked to god would they have spent all the money they did on purchasing documents that would have totally destroyed the LDS church had they really been inspired by god????

  • Any Mormon related arguments can quickly be settled by learning anything at all about Joseph Smith.

  • @Nauseum oh is that so,you dont know anything about joseph smith so just stop yourself from embarrassment, save your bigotry while your at it!

  • @solarflare311 Joseph Smith was a con artist and you are being conned by him long after he has been rotting in the ground after getting shot in a gun battle.

    You are a doofus.

  • @satancouldkillyounow con artist how where did you get that info? and how did you come to that conclusion?,yeah calling me grade school names makes your point even less valid than it already is.

  • @solarflare311 Look, you nutty son of a bitch, I could slap down a history book in front of your face and talk about "New world" cultures and history. I can slap DNA evidence in front of you. I can show you several known cons of the church of LDS that are absolutely unfounded in reality and rely on absolute blind faith.

Whatever. It doesn't matter. If I could dig up Joseph Smith himself and resurrect him and he tell you to your stupid face he conned you, you would find an excuse to ignore it.

  • @solarflare311 So, you see... my job isn't to convert idiot mormons to some other bogus faith. It isn't to dissuade you from your idiotic church that is 100% bullshit and about as true as Dragons and Unicorns.

My job isn't to do fucking anything in regards to a moron mormon like you or any other fool who buys into that bullshit.

I'm just here saying it like it is and that means calling you a fucktard because that's exactly what you are and will remain until you educate yourself (not my job).

  • @solarflare311 I know some things about Joseph Smith. I know that when he was 14 he said that he found some golden plates that would have weighed according to LDS descriptions and known gold weights just over 200+ lbs. I know that JS said that he wrapped them in cloth carried them under 1 arm. Fought off 3 grown men trying to steal them with his other arm than ran for miles at break neck speed to his home. I know I would love to see anyone reenact this tall tale!!!

  • @solarflare311 I know that it should just be easier to believe that one day a young boy CHOSE to tell a LIE! I know that JS had 11 different versions of his divine visitations and the version that the LDS corp. stands by today isn't even one of JS's. I know that JS and Oliver Cowdery could not have received the Melchisedek and Arronic prieshoods from John the Baptist because he was never of either. He was an asthetic that lived in the wilderness the Pharisees came out to see him.

  • @solarflare311 I also know that the Aaronic priesthood was a hereditary office that was reserved for descendants of LEVI. Unless the LDS corp gives out DNA tests to prove that. They aren't. Also the Aaronic priesthood was obsolete after the crucifixion of Christ and the destruction of the temple. Also the Melchisedek priesthood only belonged to two people who both had the incarnations of the Lords spirit. the greek word (aparabotos) means permanent, unchanging, NON TRANSFERABLE.

  • @solarflare311 I know that the Lamanites were not of Hebraic origin as JS claimed they were because genetic Haplo typing has proven that they are in fact Mongolian. Don't you think GOD would have known that? I know that in 1966 the LDS President gave an official statement after the Egyptologist the LDS.corp hired to translate the Book of Abraham papyrii pronounced Joseph an impudent fraud who obviously had no knowledge whatsoever of Egyptian cuniforms. Both Proven Fraudulent, False, Lies!!!

  • @solarflare311 I know that the BOM says that the Nephites built sophisticated sprawling cities all over the ancient America's. Since they were wiped out barely more then 1500 years ago you would think all of the degreed professionals that the LDS corp hired to find some tangible piece of evidence would have been able to identify so much as AN BRICK but nope, nada, zip, zilch. Just another heaping helping of CROW!!! There is a MOUNTAIN of evidence against the BOM. Why damn your soul?

  • Any Mormon related arguments can quickly be settled by learning anything at all about Joseph Smith.

  • They do that by continuing to provide food, water and other basic necessities and supplies to the needy. They also do that by trying to maintain the order and operation of the local priesthood and welfare committees, not just in helping meet member needs but also of those all around them.

  • The Kinderhook Plates, a group of six metal plates with strange engraved characters, unearthed in 1843 near Kinderhook IL and examined by Smith, who began a "translation" of them. He never completed it, but he identified the plates as an "ancient record" & translated enough to identify the author as a descendant of Pharaoh. Local farmers later confessed that they had manufactured, engraved & buried the plates themselves as a hoax. They had apparently copied the characters from a Chinese tea box.

  • Actually, JS never paid much attention to the Kinderhook plates. I did some thorough research of the Kinderhook plates several years ago. There was a time that certain members of the church defended the plates as genuine, but the fact that JS paid little attention to them--and certainly attempted no translation of them--would suggest that he knew they were bogus.

  • Modern scholars of ancient Egyptian agree that the scrolls are common Egyptian funeral scrolls, entirely pagan in nature, having nothing to do with Abraham, and from a period 2000 years later than Abraham. The "Grammar" has been said by Egyptologists to prove that Smith had no notion of the Egyptian language. It is pure fantasy: he made it up.

  • The Book of Abraham, from Egyptian papyrus scrolls which came into his possession in 1835. He stated that the scrolls were written by the biblical Abraham "by his own hand." Smith's translation is now accepted as scripture by the LDS church, as part of its Pearl of Great Price. Smith also produced an "Egyptian Grammar" based on his translation.

  • Many doctrines which were once taught by the LDS church, and held to be fundamental, essential and "eternal", have been abandoned. Whether we feel that the church was correct in abandoning them is not the point; rather, the point is that a church claiming to be the church of God takes one "everlasting" position at one time and the opposite position at another, all the time claiming to be proclaiming the word of God.

  • so what did this clip from "montey python and the holy grail" have to do with anti mormon straw man fallacies?

  • Well m aybe if you knew it's "Monty" Python, you might get the connection that anti-mormon straw man arguments never die, they don't even fade away.

  • Actually, I still don't see the correlation.

  • funnrun mustve been abused as a child.....

  • I was abused as a child, My Dad & 15 Moms were LDS!

  • I was guessing that you were indoctrinated at some point in your youth. Only those who actually know the religious books seem to be able to really understand the inconsistencies found within them.

It is only those actively seeking the "truth" claimed by a religious doctrine, who begin to see the lies they have been taught.

Its heartrending to see it, knowing your family has put their blind faith in a lie. Believing so strongly, that they refuse to look in to their own doctrines.

  • TaurusCanser

-I agree with you. It is sad, yet I am stuck in a certain situation where one can not refute the church. Many people are in this same situation where they know the church is utter rubbish. The real question we need to solve is how do we free these opressed people?

  • I believe an answer can be found within the most successful liberation of an oppressed population...

We speak the truth to power.

    I wish you well.

  • @funnrun You were abused as a child because you were ugly and your parents knew that was the most action you would ever get Go back to smoking your dogshit you loser.

  • All I know is Jesus Christ has commanded us to love one another. That comes from BOTH Bilble and Book of Mormon. If what you believe is right for you, then leave others alone. It will all be sorted out in the end. Spread LOVE my brothers and sisters, not anger or hate or contentment. That is Satan's way. <3

  • Canadianbacon is funny. oliomo should learn from him. but mommy boys learn slow.

  • mommy boys? hmm. . . someone else seems to have missed the grammar wagon.

  • Hello? was tha mean

  • Not really, it was jest more than trying to intentionally degrade. I apologize if it came across wrong. No hard feelings?

  • I just didn't get the missed grammar. "oliomoLDS" is suspended. the mormons must have an inside connection. Its not fair. I see Opra Winfree, Tom Cruise, well, theres no shortage. It's not cool

  • or someone has missed the colloquial wagon..?

  • Joesph Smith:

D&C 133.17 (1831) prophesies: "Prepare ye the way of the Lord, and make his paths straight, for the hour of his coming is nigh." WRONG This prophecy was given nearly 160 years ago, and has still not occurred. That is stretching the meaning of the word "nigh" to the breaking point!

  • nigh in terms of YOUR timing, or the God of the universe who is without beginning or end?

    You're an idiot.

  • Your a typical Mormon. You want to re-writ the meaning of Prophecy so it fits the false prophecy of Joe Smith. ha ha ! Kinda like what Joe did with the Bible, yeah! He tried to re-write the Bible " Inspired Version" ( look it up if you Dare) Look yoyo! Gods words are very clear! Joe's words were very clear, and so is Mohamed's and Mr. Young's Guess what? They don't match up to God's words ! ( nice try ) It's amazing to see the depths of deception some LDS will go in order to prove Truth.
  • typical mormon? What is a typical mormon...one that believes a prophet? I guess i'm a typical mormon, then.

Besides, who do you think wrote YOUR version of the bible? Which version do you read? You would do well for your position to educate yourself a little on early Christianity and textual criticism.

  • no, a typical is one who believes in FALSE Prophets, AND false prophesies, Plural.

And makes nothing but "excuses" for the False Prophets and their False Prophecies.

A typical Mormon tries to confuse Gods ( clear words to his Children) in order to cover up for outrageous lies their Prophet's spoke & wrote about, when in fact God mad it very clear & simple for anyone to understand.

A typical Mormon knows more about Joe Simth and his false books , then they do about the Bible & God's words

  • @funnrun Your idiocy stretches far beyond the breaking point. :)

  • "January 23, 1833, Joseph Smith ... my father presented himself,... I asked of him a father's blessing, which he granted by laying his hands upon my head, in the name of Jesus Christ, and declaring that I should continue in the Priest's office until Christ comes." WRONG

  • Blessings and commandments given of God are spiritual in nature--not temporal. Joseph Smith still exists--in his spirit form. You really have a fundamental error of understanding here. Try to learn addition and subtraction before you deem calculus nonsensical.

  • On October 14, 1833 Joseph Smith

"It is my belief, that the time of our deliverance will be within five years; the time indicated being February 14th, 1891.... And that the man raised up will be no other than the Prophet Joseph Smith in his resurrected body.... the government will pass into the hands of the Saints, and that within five years. WRONG

  • 'it is his belief'...this isn't prophecy, that is personal belief. prophets were people, they weren't godlike...they had opinions and flaws. If this was in the D&C it would be a different matter. Besides, I'm not sure where you even got that from--you need to list your direct sources when you quote people

  • In Luke 16:16, the Lord clearly stated, "The Law and the Prophets were until John: Since that time the Kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it." The time for declaring the forthcoming of the Kingdom was over; the kingdom itself was now to be declared by the Son himself! God's words to his Children are VERY SIMPLE!! on purpose! , and it needs nothing from you! ( nice try )

  • The Official position of the LDS is one of defense, excuse after excuse after excuse. Excuses for Joe and his Sex drive, Excuses for Brigham Young Racism, Excuses for the Many false prophecy Joe & Brigham Young said and wrote, Excuse for the 1857 Mountain Meadows Massacre, Excuses for the fake book of Abraham NO Archaeological Evidence and NO DNA Evidence, Excuses for the many bright and most faithful Leaders that have turned on your Church, and on & on & on. Blind faith is your friend ..

  • What is your excuse for being an ignorant asshole? Or do you take pride in your position?

  • ignorant asshole?

    Oh I see!

You must be one of those angry Elders who just got back from your Mission!

    Let the Party Begin!

  • more ignorant assumptions on your part...I rest my case...

  • Yeah I know, Being on the road for Joe can make a good little boy mean as hell in due time!

Did Joe teach you to talk like that, or was it your Mom & Dad ?

  • "On the road for joe"? more ignorant jibberish on your part. Why should the mormons have to defend themselves against ilk like you? what makes your judgment so worth while? you sound like a dickless spineless blowhard.

  • "mormon boy"? not only are you unable to answer my simple question, but you spew more ignorant jibberish and assumptions about my background. All of which indicates your intellectual deficit. No wonder you're a typical far-right wing hack.

  • typical far-right wing hack?

ha ha ha! Worthless insults is all your filthy mouth is capable of projecting my little Hater!

Do you think your insults will lead me to the Mormon truth? ha ha ha ?

It is not my judgment you should worry about hater, It's God's judgment we all should worry about, But you must be above all that!, ;;;; you know, being a good Mormon boy and all.

I do like some things about Mormons! 20 Hot Babes at home would be cool!!!!....For the Man of course!

  • ??? Are you still here? Continuing your ignorance and hate-mongering? (Based upon your recent neanderthal spews, I guess I can add hypocrite to the list) Anyways, your stupidity continues to manifest itself in that you STILL assume that I am Mormon. You think that anyone who disapproves of your wanton retardation is automatically Mormon, how sad. Sadder still is the notion that any woman (let alone 20) would want to dwell with your impotent and demented self. Get a life you pathetic cunt-rag.

  • zacideamus :

    "Continuing your ignorance and hate-mongering"?

    zacideamus :

"Get a life you pathetic cunt-rag"

    ha ha ha ha !.

Wow! Your pretty mixed up Dude!

Look, Please stop smoking all the Dog Shit, It's rotten your little brain, and from your posts here, You don't have much time left yoyo!

Now go on a nature walk with one of your boyfriends dipshit!

  • 19 year old big mouth little boy, who no doubt lives at home with mommy & daddy ,surfin porn all day, smokin dog shit, has a mouth made out of trash, who has never worked a day in his life, .......and is Brilliant!

    Aha ha ha !

  • I don't recall asking to hear about your life story....i feel even more sorry for you now than before....you are so stupid it almost hurts....The only rotting i have seen is in that underdeveloped melon wasting space on top of your neck.

  • No wonder you want people's credit card numbers. A loser like you has no life and you have to support yourself. You have nothing to teach to anyone except how to drink yourself into a stupor and hitting yourself in the head with a big rock in hopes of making sense of your own unfounded hypocritical idiotic rantings which you STILL can't back up without going off on an irrelevant tangent about your smoking habits. Why not try out for the special olympics, channel your hate into something useful.

  • Weak dude! Zac totally owned your sad and sorry ass!

  • Thank you, he said "blah blah blah" which means big words hurt his little brain. Why doesn't HE take a hike and take his ignorant hateful idiocy with him?

  • ha! you coward!

  • @funnrun Yo dumb-run! Are You running away because You can't back up any of your ignorance with facts? :)

  • .......Which city shall be built, beginning at the temple lot, which is appointed by the finger of the Lord, in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri, and dedicated by the hand of Joseph Smith, Jun., and others ...For verily this generation shall not all pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it.... WRONG

  • Apparently, funnrun is unaware that the term "generation" can have several meanings, depending on how it is used. In the NT, Christ taught his disciples about the signs of the last days, then told them that "This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matthew 24:34) Did Jesus get it wrong? His disciples died off, without seeing those signs.

  • in a revelation given by Joseph Smith September 22 and 23, 1832, :

Yea, the word of the Lord concerning his church, established in the last days for the restoration of his people,... for the gathering of his saints to stand upon Mount Zion, which shall be the city of New Jerusalem. ..

  • January 4, 1833. Joseph Smith

"And now I am prepared to say by the authority of Jesus Christ, that not many years shall pass away before the United States shall present such a scene of bloodshed as has not a parallel in the history of our nation; pestilence, hail, famine, and earthquake will sweep the wicked of this generation from off the face of the land, to open and prepare the way for the return of the lost tribes of Israel from the north country .........

  • So ya want to play uh?

You went from asking a Question , to a LDS defender in 1 post!

    ha ha ha !

OK Mormon. lets Play shall we?

    BUT !

If I'm going to teach you I want to get paid!

  • Joseph Smith RE- wrote the Bible

(Inspired Version, ) and wrote the Book of Mormon, as did Mohamed wrote the Koran!,

But there are some very interesting things about Joe & Mohamed most LDS don't know!

    Both claimed to be Prophets

Both claimed of having angel visitations

Both claimed of receiving divine revelation to restore pure religion to the earth again.

  • both were very violent and had unusual thoughts on Christianity. CanadianBacon, i have nothing against any particular mormon., but omiolo and tclds are causing problems withe their Lies. They some others had omioloLDS suspended and he did nothing wrong. teasing Seraphem is no sin. Anyhow, i was surprised I had a fan club of 30 or so! And now omi'. "Many" are talking of "going after a Mormon" the same way. like you. which isnt fair, dont you agree? I say like for like is wrong. truth matters

  • there is such a thing as 'false-prophets' and the existence of them does not negate REAL prophets. der.

  • der, so who is real & who is a fake?

The comparisons are compelling to say leas least, and if you consider Mohamed was here before Joe, and if Joe was a "true" prophet then how come the comparisons are almost identical. There are 125 Muslims to 1 Mormon. above all both Joe & Mohamed Both gave false prophecy, and according to God's words ( if you believe Gos' words) they are false Prophets, der.

  • I don't think your point is unreasonable. I never expressed an opinion about Mohamed--.maybe he was a prophet--the bible was a record of the Jews (who were not His only sheep)-it doesn't tell the entire story of civilization. Even Islam believes Jesus was a prophet of some kind...

Joseph Smith restored the truth as God intended it. Apostasy was not just for the Jews, it also occurred amongst early Christians and probably in Islamic traditions...hence the need for a restoration.

  • and please, what prophecy of Joseph Smith is false?

  • Joe had many false prophecy,

I could post all day, so have a look around, and you will find many, Joe wrote & spoke a lot in his short life, so it's not hard to find.

  • It is 'not hard to find', but in this instance, apparently it was?

You just wasted a hundred or so characters on the same tired allegation...certainly you could have listed ONE example.. do you even have ONE?

  • The Doctrine and Covenants/Section 132

61 And again, as pertaining to the law of the priesthoodif any man espouse a virgin, and desire to espouse another, and the first give her consent, and if he espouse the second, and they are virgins, and have vowed to no other man, then is he justified; he cannot commit adultery for they are given unto him; for he cannot commit adultery with that that belongeth unto him and to no one else.

So much for the 10 commandments !

  • You don't know the diff between prophecy and revelation. That section set forth 'laws governing the plurality of wives'...this is a biblical reality as well- Abraham etc.

adultery: extramarital sex that willfully and maliciously interferes with marriage relations. Polygamy is the practice of entering into marriage relations--not breaking covenants. Only if they laid with someone of which they were not lawfully married would they be breaking that commandment.

  • .......... flee to Zion, before the overflowing scourge overtake you, for there are those now living upon the earth whose eyes shall not be closed in death until they see all these things, which I have spoken, fulfilled (History of the Church, vol. 1, pp.315-16). WRONG And on and on and on , I could write all day about the false prophecy of your founders, yet it is the only true Church, ha ha ha Please

  • You might want to learn the basics before you try to understand the context of any prophecy...first of all prophecy is a function of things to come--and not on YOUR timetable--on God's...

Directional 'north' in this prophecy is symbolic of the land of the gentiles...so basically when it says the lost tribes will return to zion--it is speaking of missionary work--the baptizing of gentiles and lost tribes...look it up in the bible, it's everywhere.

  • Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

'How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?'— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously..." Deuteronomy 18:20-22

God's words to his Children are VERY SIMPLE!! on purpose! , and it needs nothing from you! ( nice try)

  • V 1 D of S "No salvation without accepting Joseph Smith. If Joseph Smith was verily a prophet, and if he told the truth...then this knowledge is of the most vital importance to the entire world. No man can reject that testimony without incurring the most dreadful consequences, for he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."

  • Brigham Young says: "No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial Kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph. . . ." "He reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling as God does in heaven."

ha ha ha ! yeah RIGHT!

  • Don't know that you are in a tizzy for, funnrun. You don't believe in the existence of the Celestial Kingdom anyway.

  • I notice you call Mohamed by his proper name, yet you refer to Joseph Smith as Joe. Don't look now, but i believe your bias is showing.

  • Haha I love this video~

On another note, I have a pet peeve regarding people who try to use fallacies to make an argument or to force their authority on another person. This is why too many in this world are so confined in "The Ophelia Syndrome."

Thanks for promoting truth, I hope to chime in from time to time.

  • It is a pet peeve of mine also. It really stems from pride, intolernce, and prejudice, in most cases. Shakespeare i'm sure would agree.

  • I forgot how hilarious this movie was. Thanks

  • I do laugh at the ANTImormon

"tis but a scratch" way of thinking

I have to respond in the same way by saying

    "you're a looney"

  • "I'll bite your legs off", lol

  • I wonder how long it will take Maughan to make some lame bizarro world copy of this.

  • "I wonder how long it will take Maughan to make some lame bizarro world copy of this. "

I was actually thinking that too.

I wonder if he pats himself on the back and then in homage to this video says

    "had enough then?"

  • It will always br like a Moby Dick's Ahab, "to the last will I grapple with thee, from hell's heart will I stab at thee, for hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee, and thus, I give up the spear," kind of thing.

  • you should put that in a video.

  • And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. "Wicked men have the advantage of the way, godly men of the end.

  • ALL RIGHT, WE'EL CALL IT A DRAW... ROFL!!! COME BACK HERE AND TAKE WHAT'S COMING TO YOU!!! ....IT'S JUST A FLESH WOUND...... I'LL BITE YOUR LEGS OFF...... ok, I feel much better now, WTG.

  • "COME BACK HERE AND TAKE WHAT'S COMING TO YOU!!! ....IT'S JUST A FLESH WOUND...... I'LL BITE YOUR LEGS OFF"

whenever I hear this I have to laugh. Maybe because it is so true and applicable.

  • Come Patsy!
