@MoshRabbits sonic is the best character when using the hit and run strategy because its hard to interupt his patterns of attacking. picking large stages also put sonic in a great advantage that other characters can never have. in a 1-on-1 matchup on time matches i usually kill my opppnent then run from them.

Zooaka, that doesn't do anything to disprove the existence of tiers...
They don't affect match ups as much as match up ratios themselves, and even then player skill still tops both, but that doesn't mean Tiers don't exist.
That's why you consistently see characters in the SS tier winning tournies, followed by S, then some other tiers. =/

by mid air down smash if you mean the dive kick thing then what you do is be high enough in the air.. you will automatically end your kick after falling down allowing you to recover faster.. also if you use your spring and go down at around the highest point it should auto recover as well.. some people spam that alot when they play.. but it can lead to stupid deaths where you dive out of the stage.. but yeah that's how you do it

Now, I main Lucas and Falco, depending on the opponent. Every once in a while, I go back to SNOIC. I still seem to be pretty good with him, and am thinking of taking him up again, making my mains Falco and sonic.
Oh, definitely NOT, man. Sonic is much more agile than any of my main characters now (notice I didn't say 'mains'), but I just didn't like his easy-to-smash-off-screen-ness, lol. I also disliked his lack of power attacks, but come to think about it, I'm starting to reconsider both of the above statements :/

well, in my opinion, he is rather hard to master since he has no one move you can really depend on. also all 3 of his smash attacks are rather slow (considering how he's supposed to be a speed character) his one advantage with the up b and then up a in the air is pretty useful but unfortunately, for those who played against sonic often, it can be read pretty easily and be countered easily. (i had to deal with many guys spiking me back down or just popping me upwards, killing me instantly.)

yeah hard to pull them off when all the other guys try to spike you back down.. aerials used to work on everyone when we first played but now that they know sonic's vertical range, they are more cautious/aggressive..=p thanks for the suggestion though

Now, I main Lucas and Falco, depending on the opponent. Every once in a while, I go back to SNOIC. I still seem to be pretty good with him, and am thinking of taking him up again, making my mains Falco and sonic.

hmm u think it's harder to use sonic than the other characters? (Despite the certain freedom of movement when u use sonic)

Oh, definitely NOT, man. Sonic is much more agile than any of my main characters now (notice I didn't say 'mains'), but I just didn't like his easy-to-smash-off-screen-ness, lol. I also disliked his lack of power attacks, but come to think about it, I'm starting to reconsider both of the above statements :/

Hey! I mained Sonic once, too. I would suggest using the down smash more. It comes fast, and can be a viable kill move, along with the obvious ones.

well, in my opinion, he is rather hard to master since he has no one move you can really depend on. also all 3 of his smash attacks are rather slow (considering how he's supposed to be a speed character) his one advantage with the up b and then up a in the air is pretty useful but unfortunately, for those who played against sonic often, it can be read pretty easily and be countered easily. (i had to deal with many guys spiking me back down or just popping me upwards, killing me instantly.)

yeah hard to pull them off when all the other guys try to spike you back down.. aerials used to work on everyone when we first played but now that they know sonic's vertical range, they are more cautious/aggressive..=p thanks for the suggestion though
