remove this tutorial and post something useful. zdaemon sucks (i know after i tried zdaemon,skulltag and another something i dont remember). i suggest for everyone to get skulltag which actually supports mods/wads and has no lag

@tom97560 Skulltag is a great piece of software, but it is more akin to an independent game engine now as opposed to a DOOM port. Also, go ask around, ZDaemon has easily the best netcode. It's all down to taste, if you want something with extreme modability then go for Skulltag, if you want to play DOOM online, play ZDaemon.

all i did when i had to put the doom wads on there is reach around in my recycle bin for deleted doom wads that didnt work on singleplayer and it worked :\

1.)The mods ban you for anything

2.)The new members suck dick so they won't get banned.

3.)You get flamed for posting "ideas" and ultimately get called a moron.

4.)They have the worst help information in the history of help information.

5.)The dumbasses know half of what they say.

6.)Zdaemon uses an outdated ZDoom.

All in all,don't waste your time with this PILE OF SHIT.Everyone at ZDaemon are nothing but children or middle aged ppl living with their mothers.FUCK ZD!

2) They don't get banned if they stay clear of the above

3)I'll agree a lot of flaming goes on from time to time in IRC or in the forums, but most new ideas are discussed reasonably.

4) Support files are lacking, but I've seen worse.

5)I don't understand this sentence.

6) ZDaemon strikes a balance between new features and keeping the doom feel, this is why they use an older Zdoom version.

No,ZDaemon as well as any of the other MasterServer ports use area bans for specific IPs,my IP was caught in the area ban,they did not remove it at all under any circumstance.

Calegaea: Try a clean install of it. If that doesn't work try going to the zdaemon forums and see if they can help you there.

Mantax: the doom version has to be 1.9, regardless of where you got it from.

If it's the doom collectors edition then it will work. If not, download zdaemon and copy the .wad file into you zdaemon wads directory and it will work fine.
