Thank you, I found this very helpful. I'm new to Gradient Mesh and was getting annoyed with the gradient lines I was getting with odd shapes. I hadn't yet thought about starting with a rectangle with single center point to start with and then warping it into the shape I needed. You saved me quite a lot of time. I also found your process for creating hair quite useful.

Thankyou so much for posting! I did not realize that you could use the lasso tool to select vector points, that helped me out a bunch!

@RCbutterfinger You're welcome. Using the gradient mesh tool, you have to do a lot of experimenting. Don't be afraid to try different techniques, make sure you save your file often.
