Very awesome. I just dropped the engine in my friends '71, shoulda made a video. We're just cleaning it up, painting some parts, and he's getting new p&cs, and rebuilt heads. On the type 4 you have to jack up the bus real high otherwise it won't clear because the non-removable apron. The '71 was easy peasy. I'll make a video next time to show you what we're doing to that bus.

Easy as pie.... VW's are so simple. Wish my engine was pre-75 Its a fuel injected model- harder to get it to run nice on the stand....

HB, is the sheet metal you did for cooling, or just to look purty? Your vids are really informative.

yeah....2 purposes really, it keeps the exhaust heat separated from the air used to cool the engine as well as keeping road dirt off the engine....glad you liked the vid Saturn
