  • I love how their faces are almost impassive... that they don't "act" with facial expressions, but let the movement show the emotions... yet they're anything but uninvolved with each other. And unlike a lot of ballet, they (of course) NEVER play to the audience (wink-wink, nudge-nudge).

  • This is my bands halftime show.

  • This is also one of the very best photographed and edited of dance films. And the original 13-instrument version (the way Copland originally wrote it) is SO much more in keeping with the entire concept of the piece. The Noguchi set is wonderful.

  • @mavphantom No, it really does not. Especially as at the time this was an extremely edgy piece of choreography. The use of stillness and movement is amazing.
