I've got my ears pierced 6 times (3 on each ear) I got them done in set of two. I got the first set when I was 8 second set when I was 12 and the third set when I was 13. None of them hurt. It just feel like someone lightly pinched my ear.

I was seventeen when I got my second set of piercings and I still had to have a parent come with me because many places state that you can't get your ears pierced unless you are 18 or older and if you are under age, a parent or legal guardian has to be present. I would be weary of places without such rules because they might have other seedy practices. And kids who are under age, if you go behind your parents backs and still get it done, do you really think they are going to trust you more?

Not for a while after you get it pierced, how long you have to wait depends on where you get it done on your ear. it can be from 4 weeks to about 2 months. after it heals the yea you can take it out whenever... but idk if that goes for large guages... prolly not

Guns are bad because they don't sterilize them between piercings, they just put in new earrings. Sometimes small amounts of blood come out on the gun though, and you can get it in your ear too. It's very unhygenic. It's also bad for your ear in general because it uses blunt force which causes trauma. Hollow needles are absolutely the best way to have a healthy piercing.

@xXAnemicXx theres theory that it heals better than getting it done with a gun because instead of piercing it with a blunt stud, you pierce it with a very sharp hollow needle, i got my lobe and transverse lobe dont with needles and i see no reason why not :) also i have just noticed ^ is a large guage piercing (possibly 8g any bigger you normally use a punch rather than a needle)
