Undoubtedly one of the greatest of tenors(ever) AND (along with Tauber )THE greatest tenor when it comes to singing operetta.

Seems like most of today's tenors are compared to both Wunderlich and Corelli .. two supreme masters. "Swept-away" is a good expression for this.

Heh, never heard W's rendition of this oft- sung song--from a female's point of view, the rendition has that "swept-away" feeling--then, with such a beautiful voice, it's simply priceless! Tx, for the "swept-away" mood.

@nancywilken -- I've been doing some research on Wunderlich ..... a fabulous tenor.... whose life was cut short. I close my eyes and get "swept-away" from all the care of the world when I listen to his singing.
