This came out right when I was becoming a teenager, but I include it among my favorite "childhood" specials. I was moving out of my childhood into that awkward phase where you're not really a child anymore, but you're not an adult. I immersed myself in pop culture in order to escape. Thanks Garfield for being a part of it.

@hardcharging Another thing the comic had going for it was Garfield stole a ruby ring from the pirate's treasure, and they get home and expect to see Jon in the door but the pirate ghosts followed them and chase them up a tree and Odie tells Garfield to give them the ring, better explaining Garfield's line of Odie saving his life numerous times that night.
