@gygye Believe it or not, that is the way they dress almost all the time. I have never seen Mr. Hadley without his hat and vest, even when he is not playing. His granddaughter is a beautiful young lady who is always well-dressed.
This reminds me of my great-grandpa who played fiddle his whole life and died never having to learn English, because everyone spoke French back then. I love how she speaks French with her grandpa, cause I do too! Il faut qu'on perds jamais la langue! If we lose the language, the music, in my opinion, loses a big part of its magic. If we lose our language, we lose our culture!
I sat next to Sarah on the plane the other day coming back from L.A/Minneapolis to Winnipeg! How cool is that. Very nice people!(and clearly very talented!) So sorry you had to land in a blizzard. Hope you enjoyed the festival. It was nice meeting you!
Bravo et je trouve amusant que vous parliez encore français après tout ce temps et tout vos malheurs. Longue vie à la Louisiane, en français.

I first saw Hadley at the French Quarter Pub in Mallairdville, BC back in 1990, then at the Festival Du Bois. Go see him live!

I could watch these two all day -- something just clicks when they play together. I believe SJW is his grand-daughter, not his daughter.
