i can buy a brushless truggy 1:10 scale with no batterie (so i will buy a lipo i think)

or i can buy a slash 2wd with a stock engine (brushed i think?) and stock batterie

the slash is 140 and chargers andso included

the truggy 160 no chargers no batteries and go on

I have 3 batteries and i can just cycle them all day on the charger. My other friend has 5, w/o charging he has 4.5 to 5.5 hours of runtime.....nitro is over rated..... Love my truck, buy all rpm components, 2s lipo, good charger and your set.

My 3s battery is just to much, i actually run faster lap times with the 2s....but for bashing i love the 3s.

@dsmdeegen I agree on the 3s is way too much its really hard to do a top speed run at full throttle it will usually just get sideways and flip over.

@msp33 For 4x4 slash, $300 - $350 used. You can find some in rough condition for $180 - $250. A lot of people are dropping in the Mamba Max system though, so if you want to run in the stock class, make sure it's got the stock Velineon system in it.

My first car was a TRAXXAS Stampede xl-5 (2 years old), my second was an OFNA Ultra LX One (1 1/2 years old) and my third (most recent) is a TRAXXAS Slash 4x4 (got on Christmas day) ; all of them are fast and still run great!!!

if your talking bout the 1/16 4wd one. i would say yes. it was my first hobby grade rc. and its awesome damn near indestrutbale. the only thing is that you need to by a spare charcher the the one they give you sucks (6 hours) by a after market one and its down to 45 mins for a full charge. other than that amazing truck

I've raced on plenty of dirt tracks all across the midsouth and sometimes it's a nice change to not have to clean your chassis or your tires. Look's like a fun track to me. :)

well depending on witch one, me and my freinds did it with our 1/16 scales. just match the wheel hex size and you can put em on. hope this helps.

indoor tracks are fine if theyre actually dirt... this looks like cardboard and carpet. dirt is what the slash was made for, theyre abusing the slash simply by using this surface.

cleaning is simply a consequence of the fun,traction is always good but carpet isn't always better traction, and often times it is important to slide around a sharp corner, which,as you put it,isn't possible on carpet,if you have to race on carpet because it is easier on your cars, then you should probably get better cars. the track being slick and the conditions changing is all part of the fun of tuning your car to be able to handle in those conditions,the fun of racing, and the joy of winning.

so timmytime, i truly feel bad for you because as you thoroughly proved, carpet racing conditions never change, so the tracks are always the same, meaning you could race one weekend, then come back the next and just be racing on the same track again, so unfortunately you will probably get bored with the hobby pretty quickly
