Funny ain't it? The Power Rangers had the Time Force Rangers VS Wild Force Rangers team up, but the Mirai TimeRanger VS Hyakujuu GaoRanger never got their team up. LOL

That WAS the team up. Aniversary Sentai shows don't get a team because they got a vs Super Sentai special instead. The 30th aniversary show Boukenger didn't get a team up with the previous show Magiranger either because they had Boukenger vs Super Sentai instead (though at least they had a few of the Magirangers show up in the team up. None of the Timerangers showed up as previous rangers except for Red briefly. Presumably due to plot reasons from Timeranger.

Actually, it gives more freedom to the X9th series. The series before an anniversary can finish however the writers want because they don't have a teamup movie to limit them. For other series, they need to keep the teamup in the back of their mind.

While that's true alot of series ended ambigiously (ie team was still around and had their powers) even before the team ups came around. Granted Timeranger had a pretty definite conclusion and that might have been the idea for the aniversary special in the first place but that's not usually the case. Magiranger for example could have had a team up if they really wanted to as everybody was still around.

Actually, I thought that Go-onger vs Gekiranger could've acted as a series finale for Go-onger (with the televised episodes finishing on episode 49). The return of Go-on Black, Go-on Green and the Go-on Wings could also allow for the return of Rio and Mele (although it would be better if the Deus Ex Machina didn't fulfil that role...)
