as he said once.. "If we see that Germany is winning we ought to help Russia and if Russia is winning we ought to help Germany, and that way let them kill as many as possible"
I was in V-2 Air Department as a gear dawg....I just can't believe that who ever made this video, there is actually a still shot of my on the flight deck raising my finger talking on the cell phone...thats cool....brings back memories.
so im 28 now and i dont know if i even want to try again but all i can do is say thank you to all the men and women that put their lives on the line for us everyday...
i remember when i was 15 i looked at one of the officers and said i hope i can be where you are one of these days.. well guess what he said to me? he daid i hope you take my job if you love this country as much as i do then you have every right to serve for the U.S. so then i was 18 i went join and they said i cant due to my hand didnt ask questions i was turned down at the door.... congress needs to change this and let who ever wants to joine to have a chance to prove they can serve.
my brother served on the truman for 3 yrs before he got hurt and med discharged. i wanted to join the nave but was told i cant serve due to i only have one had. well i say they need to change i can do everything on this ship if not more then what they can. i think everyone in this great country should at least get a chance to prove that they can serve no matter what one hand leg arm eye NO matter what!!!
That was my husband's last cruise before retiring. I saw him on your video. I will never forget that day. I kept thinking YaY! I will never have to send him away again!
But, it's one of the most beautiful events to see those ships bringing our loved ones back home to us. Thanks for the memories.....A "Retired" Navy Wife (:
I live in Greece , and work as a waiter and had the honor of serving many people who work on board the Truman...including the admiral.God Bless America.
I still remember that day as if was yesterday. I was manning the rails just aft of the B&A crane. That was the first steps i had ever seen my daughter take. I couldn't stop crying. I left about to be going through a divorce and something about that deployement made our marriage stronger that ever. Probably the most emotional day of my life.
Being former Navy, and having been out for over 35 years, it is still great to see that there are some parts of life that still value traditions. One of the greatest experiences of my life and second only to marrying my wife.
I know..he has done such a good job!!!!! I get tons of emails and when I need a phone call I just tell him and I get a call within the day. What ship is your bf on?
I am counting down the days. Anyone know how to get on base when you are not married? I am picking him up, but don't have stickers on my car. This is our first deployment, so I we are both unsure how homecoming works. Any advice?
Im not trying to be mean, my husband is on that ship too. but you have to follow the opsec rules. Saying dates like that is very dangerous. Loose lips sink ships.
I loved this video. My fiance is on the Truman now and this has been the hardest 6 months so far...I can't wait for him to get home. This video made me cry.
This was also a tear jerker for me. I am missing my sailor, who is on board the USS Truman, so very much. I am counting the days until their homecoming. This is the hardest part of being in love with a Sailor...but I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world!
i had tears the entire time. My darling will be home soon. ALL WIVES OF THE TRUMAN...TODAY I POST IT IS MARCH24TH 08. THEY ARE ALMOST HOME!!! JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE LUVVIES!!! THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME!! SOON WE WILL BE LOOKING UP AT OUR BOYS TOO, AND I WILL PROUDLY BE WAVING MY FLAG FOR MY HERO AND YOURS AND ALL OF THEM!!
i was talking to someone, who i met here in ca, he was navy i was a ciliva, we go in touch, i moved frm cali to fl and we kept in touch for 4 yrs, now hes stat in fla and im back in ca and it was too hard for mee to talk with him cause of how my heart felt it ach.... anyone ever felt that way or had this happend to? then he wanted me to live out there which i did nt cause i already had a place set up for me here anyone think he was playing games>
this video gives me hope...my husband is aboard the truman and won't be home until the summer, but this video really makes me feel better because i know it will happen!! perfect song by the way!
This was a wonderful video, my brother will be stationed on the uss harry s truman after his c school and this will be my family after his deployments.
Still remember that day when we pull in I was in the starboard side, where Capt Gig anounce that we won the E Battle, bring back memories. I'm still onboard and ready for the next deployment
Nice video, I remeber coming home from the maiden voyage on the HST. American soil was so much better than sand box. And it true, you really can smell the women on the pier from the flight deck. Good times..
I transfered Oct of 2005. I was onboard from June 1st 2001 to Oct 2nd 2005 as part of OW division in OPS department. Ive made a similar video using the same song on my profile, check it out sometime :)
I was there. MM3- A DIV. DCPO HST CVN75 good memories.

Why does youtube keeping removing audio tracks? Does some greedy idiot really think people are profiting from putting a soundtrack on a video?

My husband has been praying so much for you and me and everyone!!
We are so joyous for you and all the Men and Women who have supported this MISSION.
I cannot wait to see him when he comes home.
I love him so much.
My daughter will be coming home around that same time also.
My husband has said he wants to thank God first so as not to deny Him His Glory.
So i am going to Thank God right now for their safe return.
God Bless America! :]
::hugs::
