Dude, you absolutely, positively rock! I'm thinking about getting the shorter version of the DXE monoband antenna for 40m and your, uh, erection video was very useful to me. Just watching you stand that big boy up gave me confidence that I can do the same, as I'm thinking about doing a roof mount with mine.
Entertaining, yes, but more than that, it was instructional and inspirational. Too bad I don't have 65 ft in all directions for radials. I'm going to have to find a different type of antenna. Haven't have my radio hooked up in years. 73's
Last night I ran a light bulb all night long from the battery recharged by the sun. $150 solar panels purchased at harbor freigtht (coupon popular science) Tomorrow I will use 2 light bulbs to see how long it will last. If you think about it is quite a deal initial investment of $150 a deep cycle battery $70 175 watt inverter $40 and you can power a few things that would have made Abe Lincoln feel rich. All we need r books and some radio we can keep sane and in touch using very little electric.
Dave I located on the YT a pair of videos that are located in my favorites these YT tell of how Indians (dot not feather) are using A cow dung to produce methane B cow digestive enzimes to break down table scraps to produce methane. Some of these people have not bought LNG for over a year I would have to say that could be a strong survival tool. Coupled along with a solar oven the two could be the key to efficient cooking. I know you are cutting edge please look at the vids thanks Dave peace.
you should remove the antenna and place a garbage bag over the mast pipe to keep the grass from fouling things up, then place your antenna back on the mast..
would be kool for rc helicopters
