Here's my take on Sonic Heroes. Team Dark goes in first and obliterates Eggman's Defenses. Repair crews set up and set up alternate scenery which allows Team Sonic to blast through each stage. Following in the wake of both teams is Team Chaotix, looking for things out of place that they are ordered to find. Lastly, Team Amy comes in after all 3 teams have finished so there are basically no real threats to thier safety, as everything has preety much been destroyed by the previous teams. >:]
