I had the pleasure of working in a film with Estelle Getty back in the late 1980's. I only had a small part, and we had to shoot at night so that we wouldn't interfere while the store was open by day. She was a real pro and had endless energy despite the fact that we were all up all night and just wanted to go to bed. She was wonderful!

For Estelle's sake, I was glad she passed on. It's unbelievable what dementia slowly robbed. When I heard she died, I was happy for her because I knew through the news that she was suffering and now all the pain is gone. Bea Arthur on the other hand, shocked the hell out of me and made me go numb for a few seconds because I didn't know she had cancer.

That's okay though. "Ma" and "Pussycat" are now together giving the man upstairs stomach cramps from all the laughing!! :)

I remember watching this when it aired for Estelle! One of my favorite roles I remember her in outside of Golden Girls was "Mrs. Tipkin" from the movie Mannequin!
