MSI X340 Review

I own a very similar msi x400 and the keyboard is a deal breaker. It flexes so much and feels cheap. It's also very hard to gauge where your hand is in relation to the keys. The touch-pad is also awful. You have to disable when typing or the cursor will go flying up a line or two. The weight is awesome at under 4 lbs. I have the 8 cell battery and get impressive 4 + hours with lowest lcd brightness. 3 years warranty is good but I dropped it already breaking the speaker and headphone jack.

Nice, but for the price, I rather take the Acer Timeline which has identical (8hrs +) battery life, just as thin, but larger, 15.6 LED screen and it does have an optical drive. I know that Lenovo is coming out with something similar, using the ultra low voltage Intel CPUs

Great review. I don't like the looks of that computer though only 2gb of ram and no DVD slot. Also the price is a little much for a computer like that. Anyone that reads this don't get this. If your looking for a good budget laptop I'm getting a laptop from gateway, the NV series, for about 500

Gateway is a low quality laptop i ever seen some Gateway laptops are defective so waste of money for me, i should go to acer laptop or MSI or its better to buy a toshiba or lenovo

Just another cheapest of the cheap "Plaster" junk toy from Taiwan and there is nothing "Nice & Sexy" about those dirty Netbooks/Notebooks with black/red/blue glossy plaster ..do not touch those cheaply made plaster toy ...just.Dirty dirty and dirty hands and fingerprints within 2 Sec.....they will never be like the old classic 12" IBM thinkpador the lenovo X200

@rockinghaven asus makes better! checkout the asus 1201n and the new model comming out 1215n i beleive its called, and the 1201pn all by asus there freaking amazing and very well afordable!
