  • for about 4 years i have 2 blackberry's and they still work very good. I have 8120 (4 years old), 8520 curve (2 years old) and 9300. On 8520 my sister drops acetone and the only problem was that the dysplay is not that bright. It had gained my respect.

  • Had my 9100 for 15month now only problem is freezing. No screen breaking or bad keyboard or whatever. Only freezing im experiencing.. Still is really annoying

  • He is Nuts!, Black Berry is best known for its Keyboard and typing ease

  • "look at me my screen unglued so i gonna die!" STFU and bb 9100/9105 r the best cuz u can put it in every pocket dumbass! a now u can upgraded the OS to 6.0 :P

  • I have that exact phone, when my screen started to come unglued after 6 months of heavy use; I pressed relatively hard around all of the edges and guess what? It never came unglued again. No warranty work, no calling RIM or my carrier, no BS.

  • YOU FOUND THESE PROBLEMS BECAUSE YOU WERE CARELESS OF YOUR PHONE!!!! AN I RIGHT OR NOT???ANSWER ME!!!

  • So you said you already had an experience with your work BlackBerry and you still went out to buy one for personal use? If a phone is not working right, you're supposed to go to the person who sold it to ya - your carrier!

  • This has happened to one of mine, no idea how to fix it and found no information showing how to do so.

    It's never been dropped.

  • The worst phone I've ever owned in years! Constant app download problems, no one seems to know how to fix. Stupid error messages etc, I've had enough, biggest mistake ever. All I wanted was a smart looking phone to replace reliable Nokia 6303 classic. Everyone suggested Blackberry, wish I did more research. Going back to a nice basic Nokia, without all the frills. Taking my sim card out of this piece of junk & back into the 6303 until I decide on a new Nokia.

    Goodbye Blackberry!

  • I have a pearl 9100 and it is better than any other phone i or any one i know has, as for the screen problem be careful with it! it probably broke cause you dropped it over and over. My advice is GET AN OTTER BOX! i cant explain how many times ive dropped mine. A couple days ago i was running it fell out of my hand a friend steped on it slipped and he broke his ankle as for the phone no damage so once again get an otter box!

  • probably cause you dropped it dickhead. blackberries are good

  • (cont'd from below)

due to lack of innovation and poor product quality.

  • Amazingly superb services but downright shitty phones.

The only thing that' gives this company phones an edge is their services like BB messaging, BB enterprise etc.

No one is beating up on RIM's phones without justification, it's simply a fact that their units are crap but because of their unique services they have remained competitive. Put them on a level playing field with other makers offering the same services and you'd see that RIM would be out of business in six months

  • DO U KNOW WHAT I SAY WHEN U SAY OHH BB BREAKS EASY AND RUBISH ACTUALLY UP TO HOW U USE IT ...

  • I had a Blackberry Curve for 2 years, I would throw it about 10 meters, it still worked.

    fucking love blackberry...

  • dude, if you dont like it, dont buy it

  • i have a blackberry curve 9300 and its sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i disagree my bb is a cool phone and everybody has 1!!!

  • my 9100 screeen has dust between the lcd and covering that goes over it, what phone does that never herd of this before fuck blackberrrys

  • mad hater

  • Blackberry build quality is shit, its tacky and cheap. The quality is similar to SE environment line but RIM still charge Iphone prices.

The light at the end of the tunnel is Exchange 2010, its unified messaging could be the downfall of RIM.

  • My Blackberry has lag issues

and its the second one the first one was replaced

    i hate blackberry

    could of got something better

  • Well, I own a blackberry 9100 and i really enjoy it, but I do have to admit my screen got "unglued", too. Which is weird, since I saw a 9100 disassemble vid and the screen is supposed to be clipped on. Anyway, this guy really hates Blackberry!

  • Actually, most of my friends have BlackBerries, and they're of amazing quality. I have a BlackBerry Pearl 9100 as well, and it's quite good. The screen's well put together. I don't know why you hate on BlackBerries. There's a lot of other phones out there that are completely shit. People also compain about the iPhone signal issue.... yet they continue to use it. The free bumper? My friend has an iPhone 4, and says it doesn't help too much. Just deal with it buddy.

  • @whoispandachoi- appreciate your comments but if they are so good, why did my screen unglue itself after 4 days? Why won't BB or the carrier warranty it? Why did every single manager (about 20) in my branch have to get them replaced within 6 months? Why are there so many BB problems people blog about? I've received a number of messages stating they've had the same issues. My Nokia and Ericson are failproof. No friends with iPhones have ever had problems either.

  • @justanormalguy999 Drop an iphone 4 and let me know how it works out for you. I have dropped my blackberry 9700 too many times to count and it still remains intact. Btw I have owned an iphone 3gs. Type any product followed by "problems" into google and you will see there is no such thing as a perfect product.

  • @justanormalguy999 because either your just unlucky and/or dont look after it.

  • @justanormalguy999 @justanormalguy999 I agree with you BlackBerry's are awful. I have the Pearl 9105 and I'm about to get it replaced for the 5th time in under 18 months. They break down every 5-7 months. The trackpad stops working after a while, it starts resetting itself randomly after a while, the phone freezes a lot, water even got under the screen when the phone was in my pocket. BlackBerry's are extremely unreliable all my friends have to get them replaced constantly.

  • @justanormalguy999 Because you guys obviously got shipped a bad batch. If you're all in the same geographic area, the odds of all your managers having issues could only be explained in that regard if they were all the same phone.

As a flip, all your friends got a good batch of Iphones even though so many other people have issues. That's call QA understanding and Logistics knowledge. You may work in an office, but have a poor understanding of how a business works.

  • @whoispandachoi I've been using my 9100 for almost 2 months.

    I am not impressed.

Everything about it is okay I guess but the money I spent on it is just not worth it--the light is starting to leak under the screen and the screen cover's about to pop right off. This guy's being realistic, unfortunately I was a little too late to have foreseen this video before I made my purchase, but I love the 9100 too much so I'm willing to give it a try once more.

The white 9100s have better build quality.

  • @kkjgg112391 I'm sorry to hear that, but I have a lot of friends who have BlackBerry 9100s. To be exact, 5, including myself. Never once has that problem happen to any of us. I don't know if it's just that our BlackBerry were good(?) or not, but I've had the old BlackBerry Pearl 8100, and I also currently have the white BlackBerry 9780. I like the overall products that R.I.M makes, they're very sturdy. I've dropped my BB Pearl 9100 two times and it still works perfectly!

  • @whoispandachoi You're lucky, we must've gotten lemons.

This is my first blackberry, I came from symbian (E72) lol.

I appreciate how efficient you can get with blackberry once you learn how to use it (There's a bit of a learning curve but it's very very rewarding)

It's not easy to find a phone this light and small with all the power of its bigger counterparts, if the new 9100 I'll be receiving soon still ends up as a disappointment. I'll be selling both of them and get myself an HTC Desire.

  • @kkjgg112391 lol oh Symbian :P Well, I hope that the new BlackBerry 9100 doesn't disappoint you!

To be honest.... I prefer the Suretype :D It does take some getting used to, but after that, it's really quick for typing! :D

Let me know how the new one is :)

  • @whoispandachoi It really is great for typing! The suretype just seems to know what's coming out of my brain hahaha.

    Yes I will, :D

  • @whoispandachoi I love BB.

  • @whoispandachoi I agree 100%, Don't let one bad apple (or berry) wreck it for ya. My whole family has berries and sis in law has the Iphone4 and not one problem.. Love them.
