Hmm - having now seen the the dwarven city instance in Cata, and of course BRD right through, there is no way the original IF would or could have been as small as it now is - it's tiny compare to the supposedly later less developed cities of Dark Irons et al. IF HAD to be much bigger and they really should bring back some of the complex elements - not to mention Old IF - anyone got vid of that as by the time I heard of it Blizz had blocked it off?

@timofthomas Old IF was opened back up recently. You can go there and see Magni crystallized as well as several dwarves, some are guarding him, others are researching a way to reverse the curse.

Because many people are complaining about the game, and as more people are complaining the more easier must the game be, because blizz don't want to lose players.

And because people don't find their way through the old if, it had to be changed... well it wouldhave been nice if it would be the ironforge of today but it also would have been nice if they never added the questmarkers so that you must actually read the questdiscription but that would be too difficult for some.

The deeprun tram was going to Darnassus; this is also the cause why you see an underwater setting while traveling. Was changed later on ;)

@startide I don't know if you have been answered, but I believe the other destination of the Deeprum Tram is Gnomeregan, which was supposed to be an Alliance city as well, but they cancelled due to faction imbalance

I kinda like this version more, to me it always seemed like Ironforge was dwarfed in comparison to how i imagined it. I mean, if almost the entire dwarf race was in a mountain, I imagined a hollowed out, Epic multi-tiered city. This (while a little confusing & w/ some useless parts.) fits that more than the current "ring with a dot in the middle" city...idk but the two tiers b4 the forge and also the multiple floors appeals to me, they shud have streamlined tht idea w/o taking so much out :D

It looks more like ,surprise, an actual city, It's more compact, IF now is so open and now that everyone has been in OL, and Northrend, IF just isnt as full as it used to be, so it's even more empty now than ever.

They should open up a few more levels of IF, if you read wowwiki theres like 8 floors, and some of them sound like the way this looks here.
