Damn people are all full of opinions on other peoples videos huh?
I have a .30-.30 Marlin with only a few round thru that I'm going to take and sight in this weekend using the iron sights. I'll sight in at 100 which is what I typically do with iron sights...that works for me anyway. I was surprised just how far off these sights were out of the box and I didn't have enough time or ammo or a good rest to sight in so this weekend it should be spot on.
Jesus leave the damn guy alone. He shoots what he shoots and it works for him.I rarely talk to or with anyone about firearms because everyone is already an expert knowing all there is to know.Someone always has to be bigger and have or do better.Shoot on sir,I love your vids.
yeah, I have a scope on mine. I got it for Christmas when I was 9 years old, and have killed many deer with it. Although I prefer the 30-30 without the scope, I cannot justify taking my scope off. It is a tough choice. For me, since the 30-30 is currently my only deer rifle, I cannot justify taking off a scope that has helped me make precise shots at 100 yards. If I had another gun, (like a bolt action 30-06) I would ditch the scope in a heart beat and rock just the iron sights.
I hope u know this is a repeater rifle..not a 7mm or 30-06.there not much need for that scope..besides with a 30 30 round, after 300 yards it dramatically starts loosing its stopping power..so theres no need for a scope..unless its hard for u to see 300 yards target
@rubbindubbin4life Here you are again acting as if you have revelations from heaven. Listen dude, all the unquantifiable gibberish you throw around like "stopping power" as if you know what is "meAnt" is obvious to most.
I'm the dude that delivers kill shots at 300 yards, I very well "know this is a repeater rifle."
".there not much need for that scope"
As if internet trolls get a say get a say.
I am going to write a whole new post on the "stopping power" comment... since you're a nuisance.
@rubbindubbin4life "besides with a 30 30 round, after 300 yards it dramatically starts loosing its stopping power.."
"Stopping power" is what you use against dangerous game or assailants; you need enough destruction the threat is eliminated. I'll assume you're talking about dangerous game like say, grizzly. The 30-30 "dramatically starts loosing[sic] its stopping power" at less than 50 yards.
@lj2justgoto 30/30 will stop pretty much anything in north america out to 300 yards if you can hit it,it has the same stopping power as a .44mag at that distance, maybe a little less.
Every gun I shoot I know exactly what the "effective range" is. You don't even know what "Effective range" is or even the importance of it let alone know how to calculate it. Yet I find you in 3 of my videos spouting phrases you no nothing about. Each video a "one shot, one kill" video.
No one needs to say a word to see how thin your comments are.
Do yourself a favor, be satisfied in the knowledge you know best, don't go opening your trap ruining it!
@lj2justgoto damn thanks for the story long reply..thos 3 videos i replyed to.i didnt know there were all from u.an now that i think of it..get a life..theres more things to brag about..then u shooting a "million" miles with a fucked up 94 winchester.and shit, thinking ur all that. nobody like a dipshit who brags..ur like "Every gun I shoot I know exactly what the "effective range is" (shure) and "im the man who can shoot a still object at 300 yards.,.(oh wait kill shots...oooh)
LOL! From a guy who comes here telling me that I'm doing it wrong.
'a dipshit who brags..ur like "Every gun I shoot I know exactly what the "effective range is"'
Predictable. Instead of applying yourself and searching for the information yourself; you chastise me for having a brain so much larger than yours. GET A CLUE KID!
""im the man who can shoot a still object at 300 yards.,.(oh wait kill shots...oooh) "
a.) I suppose you shoot at running deer at 300 yards? From your display of ethics here, I think you would.
b.) You are the one that brought 'stopping power' into the conversation. You were all for equating this video with dangerous charging animals. Now you are balking at the idea of hitting a "kill" zoned size target at 300 yards in one shot.
Thanks to those that I hadn't seen their comments until now... I would hate to bother you just to say thank you so belated.

How did you mount that scope the 94 is a top ejector
lilblitz 1 month ago
@lilblitz It is an "angle eject;" it is drilled and tapped to accept a scope.

@lj2justgoto what do you believe the effective range is, and at what range do you think it turns into 'harrasing fire'.

Just a few words to tell you that an interesting downloadable ebook on this model (technical and historic aspects) is available at HLebooks.com.

where did you get your mounts and see through rings?
maekin4512 1 year ago
@maekin4512 I bought them at MidwayUSA. They are 'Weaver 1" Steel Lock See-Thru Ring Mount Winchester 94 Angle-Eject Gloss.'
lj2justgoto 1 year ago
@lj2justgoto What if you have a normal winchester 94 top eject, and how do you put the scope on could you make a video?
MrPartypooper5 9 months ago
@MrPartypooper5 You can get a mount that fits on the side of the receiver. It may take drilling and tapping to do.
Go to MidwayUSA's website and find your way here...
"You are here: Homepage > Optics > Bases, Mounts & Adapters > Winchester > Winchester 94 (Before 1964)"
There are a few different choices to try.
