  • Holy crap, finally found the episode my dad is in! Guy playing "Moose".

  • This was truly good entertainment. No stupid sexual innuendos or reality crap. I feel blessed to have enjoyed these and many more good, clean T V series in the 60s and 70s.

  • Carter actually thought he was lying? and they had been together how long??

  • After 5 years Sgt Carter still thinks Gomer lies even though it's always proven he didn't, and doesn't, lie. Lou-Ann is the same way.

  • Pyle should have been a quarter back, and that ending where Carter runs into the tree was hilarious.

  • @TheMarkster1957 never laughed harder in my life when i saw this the first time. i was 7, 10 or something.

  • 11:56, is carter wearing two watches?

  • @cReNtScH768 I think one is an id bracelet.

  • at 12:37 derp lol

  • I read that 80% of the men marching with Gomer in the opening of the show, were sent to to Vietnam weeks later and the same number died there! Look at their faces! Such a waste of life. In fact, it was Jim Nabors who gave this info in an article. And they didn't die for their country, they died for the interest of Wallstreet and Politicians and world powers fighting over the greed grab bag. That's all war is based on, money, power, corruption. I love this country, but I hate war. Malik Jubal

  • @LordIam1 Well, actually -- they did die for their country. They followed orders -- did their duty -- and regardless of the reasons why we were in Vietnam, they followed orders. Thus, all US KIAs in Vietnam should be honored as all others that gave their lives in other wars. I fully understand the point you are making, BUT -- to suggest they did not die for their country is a slap in the face to their memory. The were all members of the UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES and they DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY!

  • @iriewaregl Their lives should be honored, as they did live and were human beings with families and friends. I do honor that.I do not agree with you,no matter how many times we go back and forth here, we will not agree with each other. I am not trying to change your mind, nor you mine. Following orders is such a weak reason for you to say they died for their country. Hitlers army FOLLOWED ORDERS also. Did they die for their country, or a cruel immoral maniac? Malik Jubal

  • @LordIam1 To compare Hitler's Army with what American soldiers did in southeast Asia says it all in terms of your "logic" -- to which, I would strongly advise that you NEVER -- EVER -- say such a thing in the presence of a Vietnam vet. If so, suddenly that aire of moral superiority you seem intent on perpectuating might change in an instance. You speak of cruel and immoral -- well sir, that is about as cruel as it gets. A false analogy of the highest order.

  • @iriewaregl War is war, it matters not me to if it's the Germans,The Americans,The Japanese, I am not pro war, and you seem to be. And to suggest that if I made these comments to some Vets, they may beat me up is typical of pro war folks. As for Vietnam and the Asian wars, please research Gulf of Tonkin if you dare. President Johnson, our top politician, lied us into that war and tens of thousands of American military died for that lie. I'm not trying to offend any Vets Here, sorry. Malik Jubal

  • @LordIam1 Actually, I am anti-war -- and, several of my songs speak of this very loudly ... but, I am also a realist and do not live in some fantasy world full of "make love, not war" delusions -- sometimes war cannot be avoided. BTW -- I do not have to research the Gulf of Tonkin resolution, I know it well. But, prior to that, thousands of Americans were already fighting communists in Vietnam -- and before that, the French spent 10 years doing it. Fact is, North Vietnam INVADED South Vietnam.

  • @iriewaregl Ok, I appologize for saying you were pro-war. I should not have jumped to that unfair conclusion about you. I pray that some day your songs and their theme of Peace will be a reality for our world. Take care, God bless you, peace! Malik Jubal

  • @LordIam1 Thank you -- I agree. peace man ... Mike

  • @iriewaregl Obama sent them to war.

  • @seka1986 A 7 year old kid sent them to war?...That's how old the President when this epsoide aired.

  • Imagine that...the two teams look like USC and UCLA. ;)

  • LOL!! awsome episode :D

  • poor carter

  • LOL I used to love watching "Gomer Pyle" and "The Andy Griffith Shoe" as a kid. As a matter of fact, I still love them, which is certainly why I am here. Lol, This episode is one of my favorites. Carter absolutely has the worst luck in this episode, seems like more than usual. The Vegas trip he has some bad luck, too, another one of many favorites. Lol Oh man, it never gets old seeing Carter get hit on the sideline and when he crashes in the tree!!! Great stuff, Alex!!! Thanks!!!

  • thanks...love these classic episodes!!

  • @GJNCA Try going to managment with a letter of intent from a lawyer. You will be surprised how fast those little hitlers get fired.
