In November 2007, the National Endowment for the Arts released its report on the American reading disaster, Reading at Risk, comparing it to the historic 1983 report, A Nation at Risk, which stated:
“If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre education performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war. As it stands, we have allowed this to happen to ourselves.”

There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who have a set of expensive Irlen spectacles in a drawer which they never use.
Ask your self why reading difficulties only occur in English speaking countries?
Ask yourself why children in non English speaking countries do not experience this difficulty/ The proof of this is that it is common in non-English speaking countries to have virually 100% literacy,
