  • incredible album. rock on...stevie

  • this is one of my favorite songs EVER! Love the video!

  • My good buddy Eric Steinmans gramps built that freaking bridge!

  • beautiful pics and a song by a beautiful woman...Great job!! <3 it!!

  • As a kid I remember going up to Mackinac. I was and still am amazed by the big Mac!

  • 1:33 Christmas lights at night in Mackinaw City, what an incredible photo. So peaceful.

  • Hmm...

This may be well a good album....

  • Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

  • Every note of this song, and the overall feel of it, just toally remind me of 'the West'...like, the song just feels like a desert sunset evening to me. No doubt, since Stevie's called Paradise Valley, AZ home for many years. One of my favorites of all time, thanks for posting.

  • best bridge in the world nothing tops it

  • I love this song but the fade out starts wayyyyyyyy to early! At 3:16 there is still over 20seconds left! LOL.Back when I was listening to this on cassette (anyone remember those?),I always turned up the volume gradually as the song ended.

  • i totaly agree with you...i hate that it ends early. i wonder if they had ran out of tape space back then or something..lol. i dislike it even more when i heard the full version on youtube, it drove me crazy..lol

  • I know!!! I do the same thing! I'm thinking, "Noooo, I don't want it to end!" I always think about that when I listen to this song; I want to keep singing the rest of the lyrics in my head long after this version ends. The extended version really should've been released on the 'Enchanted' box set.

  • @Scorp1982 I never thought of that! It totally should have been on Enchanted but it didn't really fit with the songs she put on here. The first 2 discs are basically her hits and disc 3 is outtakes/b-sides.

  • one more thing...her voice is beautiful on this song..and "Talk To Me" , her voice was very strong and she was hitting powerful notes in the ab libs near the end of the song...also ""The Nightmare" is one of my favorite songs on the album and "Some Become Strangers"..basicly every song...lol

  • the only thing i don't like about the album was the sequence. just that flow right to me. i listen to the album in this order..you guys should try if any of you have the cd. i can't wait sister honey if i were you talk to me rock a little imperial hotel the nightmare some become strangers no spoken word i sing for the things has anyone written a song for you

  • im making an official apology to all stevie nicks fans for making a fool of myself with the comment i made about her voice in this song and the rock a little album 3months ago. i puchased the cd online a few weeks ago and have not stop playing it since. this is one of my favorite cd's of stevie.

  • It's ok,Art is sometimes like that.

  • luv the guitar and bass line

  • p.s. ...love her voice in this song!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this one! One of her best

  • where is mackinaw city?

  • FROM DOWNTOWN DETROIT

Go on I-75 N, and follow it for 289 miles until you reach Mackinaw CIty. It is at the tip of the lower penninsula, by Mackinac (MACKINAW) Island. The bridge+the island+ the straits are spelt different from the city and I have no idea why.

  • this is my first time ever hearing this song. im kinda backtrackn with stevie. i became a fan of her's in 1999. i must say i love this song..the cords on the chorus line is dope! but i must agree that stevie's voice is kinda weak and more raspy and horse than usual and that is because she was very heavy on drugs during this periode. i remember i seen an interview where she said the doctor told her she had to stop using or she wasn't gonna be able to "rock a little anymore"

  • this is my favourite city...city of the lost heaven... I am dreaming to come back every day

  • I love Mackinaw City. I wanna go so badly! Heaven is greater, and God put Mackinaw City and St. Ignace as examples!

  • nice video

  • Thank u. Sorry this comment is marked as spam, I hit spam accidently.

  • One of my all-time favorite songs, by her or anyone else. For me though, it evokes the desert Southwest (where she happens to live). Of course, all her music does...thanks for posting.

  • With a song like this and the weak singing, I can see why ace producer Jimmy Iovine walked out during the recording of this album. Her voice is all coked up and the music sucks. I remember buying this album in Nov 1985 (after waiting 2 years) and being so disappointed.

  • Seems like opinion is divided on this.

Personally i like it. I don't think her voice is weak, she has always had this thing going on where her voice seems to break up, then come back strong, its what i expect from stevie.

  • I agree....I personally loved this album! She rocked out on it...I know she was heavy into addiction then..but vocally...I loved it!

  • @Wild1995 I don't know that it was her "weak singing" that sent Jimmy out the door. I would venture to say it was more of a person thing i.e. her erratic behavior or something romantic possible going on between them. I'm not going to diss you because you don't like this album b/c you are entitled to your opinion but I could not disagree more. Also, coked up or not it's still her distinctive voice.

  • This is one of the best songs on the albom Rock a little, I think :) Stevie rocks and always will!
