this stupid crap is the late 80s equivalent of all that justin bieber crap thats popular nowadays..this isnt real music either. its generic lite rock by some pretty boys with pretty hairstyles. sound familiar? yeah,it means there was crap garbage music back then just as there is today. Lion sucks,it isnt even rock its just watered down butt rock with a husky voiced singer with pretty hair singing about his "power love"....this couldnt be anymore generic if it tried
@TheeBobOv listen to the band kal was in before this band, this is watered down completely i agree, listen to the band tytan, the album rough justice is much better than this stuff
Because too many record companies prefer to slap a few pre-pubescent hermaphrodites together who can't play instruments or sing for that matter and then call them a band in the name of the all mighty dollar for people like "TheeBobOv" to buy into. Now I'm judging you asshole.
i like how you think that this is music that matters. back in the late 80s,what kind of music do you think people were calling soulless, pathetic, and untalented? yeah- this music
who the hell says i listen to that mass marketed garbage? its funny that youre defending generic crap commercial faceless talentless music by putting down the exact same thing
"power love"???? the fucking band is called "lion"- ?????? seriously?? this is possibly the lamest song ever. what the fuck is "power love" anyways? why not just call it "i wanna fuck you hella hard" or something? what a bunch of foofy looking dipshits. im glad this retarded crap went away and i hope it stays dead. theres a difference between this fabio garbage and real trash rock like faster pussycat and l.a. guns
Oh wow, the memories that song brings back for me from the 80s. A totally awesome but underrated/underappreciated 80s metal song. Thanks so much for posting!
I just noticed that this song plays during the scene in the garage in the movie The Wraith. The Wraith shoots up the place much to the dismay of Packard Walsh and his gang of miscreants. Its a great song along with Never Surrender both available on the Dangerous Attraction album. Kal is great on vocals and Doug kicks ass on the guitar. Doug sounds great with Whitesnake. If you want to hear more from him then try Live In The Still of the Night from Witesnake. Awesome.
@Zorro3740 The best performance I think I've ever seen Doug have (and most tasteful solo) is with Dio - The Last In Line - at the Roseland Ballroom in 2002.
@HeavyMetalsAdvocate TESTIFY BROTHER!! METAL IS THE ONLY STYLE OF MUSIC THAT I WOULD SAY YOU CAN LISTEN TO ANYTIME OR ANYPLACE I LISTENED TO IT SINCE I WAS 10 NOW I M 37!!
@HeavyMetalsAdvocate YOU GET MY VOTE DUDE!!! HEAVY METAL IS REAL MUSIC!!! IT'S BETTER THAN RAP OR HIP HOP, OR THE SHIT KIDS LISTEN TO TODAY, WHATEVER IT IS. I'M 49, AND I STILL FUCKING LOVE HEAVY METAL!!!
Heck yeah man! Love Heavy metal! From Dokken, Winger, Queens Ryche, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Hurricane, Loudness, Icon, 80s bon jovi, and more. I have a hard time listening to do todays stuff cuz..sure the lyrics might better written...but the sound...is lame. No "Power Love" written to them, lol. Im 80s metal all the way!!!! \m/ (^_^)\m/
I was just reminiscing about the days when I sang BG vocals on two of Lion's albums (& "Transformers") when I saw your question, Gary. "Except for Doug Aldrich, where are they now?". From what Jerry (who is still gigging in LA) told me a couple of years ago, Mark has his own business, & Kal is working for the studios. One hell' of a band!

back in 1985 just got to LA for the first time , went to the roxy and lion was the first band i saw live ,vivian campbell was in the audience and made gestures when a song sounded somewhat like Dio riffs, the funny thing is tha Dough followed vivians foodsteps by playing in the same bands as vivian, whitesnake , dio all he needs to complete this task is to play in def lepard, but indeed a great band, too bad with scotty records gone bad.
@TheeBobOv Actually, smart ass, there were many millions of records sold from bands out of LA at that time..Doesnt mean the bands selling were The Beatles,or Led Zeppelin..Just means there WAS a market for it...Leave your inane comments with someone who isnt smarter than you..Might be hard to find one,but keep looking
When did this air on VH1 classic? I honestly do not ever remember this being played at all on there. Must have been one of the metal mania episodes I missed, which I rarely missed one between 2002-2006
@getyourpizzanow Hey Gary, Just now read your fairly late comment about Jerry, which unfortunately followed my really late answer about the rest of the band, about which you likely already know. Jerry's a great guy, & you couldn't be in better hands! The best of luck!
@GaryVonGary Mark Edwards continued playing with Lion until a motocross accident in 1988 which broke his back and put him in a wheelchair for years. He's working for a successful agency (representing entertainers, etc) in Texas these days, and while he can walk, he can't play anymore.
This one is for you Devan!!!!
