what kind of transformer are you using?

Find out how much amp and watts it pulls and then work out how many amps are on the secondrys. Or put a clamp meter on the HV side in short circuit. I think you will find it to be about 3 amps. 3 x 1100 = 3300 watts. or 27 amps.
