Still influenced him to get on stage and talk about his life and Friends. That band was the one and only toy dolls :]

This band is one of the best and they are underestimated BIG TIME !! Burns is a fucking hero and no offence, but I don't think that they give a rat's arse about how they look like. We're talking punkrock here, not bloody fashion... and the fact that they are NOT using eyeliner and all the other crap that sells these days, makes me even love them more !!

@lampry999 You're a goddamn idiot! Green day haven't been on the scene half as long as SLF and have a lot to learn from THEM. Green day aren't even real punk and on top of that they were influenced by bands that wouldn't be around if it wasn't for their influence from SLF.I don't thnik it's anything to do with instrument quality, it appears to have a lot to do with the over production of fake wannabe punk bands like Green Day from major, punk ruining, record labels like Lookout and Reprise.

@kamm666 i think im an american idiot, slf as you call them would have been a lot more succesful ie made more money if they dressed better or as least thought outside of the box for eg by using black eye liner. I like the energy of slf but their lyrics seem a little self endulgent, its all about me myself and ireland, don't they care that there are other wars going on in afghaniran and isreal, american soldiers lives are under threat every day and the jewish settlements are under attack

Stiff Little Fingers started in 1976, probably the first real Irish punk band, Green Day came much later, not even copying SLF but copying bands who copied them.

Too much hate in the world, we all like the same stuff (sort of) surely there's more to unite than divide us? this was written by a 48yr old who was into punk (and still loves the old bands dearly) but takes more hope from new music as it at least shows some imagination and progression on the part of the up and comong layers of youth!
