This is one of my favorites from Karen's unreleased album cuts! I think the original instrumental break was always way too long and it's nice to hear that shortened in this remix. Yes, Karen could really have done well with this album if it was sweetened and some of the tracks like this one, included on it. Too bad poor Karen was so terribly sick during this time frame and the end of her life so near due to her ravaged organs, especially her beautiful heart. I miss her terribly to this day.
oh wow i remember making this and a ton of others with some of karen's unreleased '79 tapes - seems like a lifetime ago. a fun little at home project that made its way around as a bootleg over the past 5 yrs. though, im not a dj, should just be "jimmy michaels remix" :)
I'm glad to hear this, but also a little ticked as well. Richard released her solo album in 1996, and made sure only a handful of the really good songs made it on there, when there are gems like this that SHOULD HAVE been included. Had the album been released in 1980, as originally planned, I venture to say this would have been a hit for her. I think Richard to re-release the album, completely remixed, with the unreleased material included. Thanks for posting this.
@SilverCreedWolf The release in 1996 was exactly as Karen planned to release her album, with the addition of "Last One Singin' The Blues". All of the outtakes were chosen by Karen to be outtakes.

Fantastic remix that still captures Karen's singing in a good way. You have great taste and creativity. It goes perfectly with her incredible voice.
