hi ein tolles spiel ich war damals so 12-13 jahre alt als ich es hatte habs als kopie gehabt aber später nochmal als original für 80,- DM bei Otto,Quelle oder Neckermann nochmal neu gekauft das war es damals echt wert,

hatte damals auch einen plan des ganzen hauses wo war war das kam cool^^

damals gabs auch mal nen gerücht das mann Dr. Fred im pool ertränken könne aber so wie es scheint wars quatsch^^ so noch nen gruß an alle c64 und besonders Maniac Mansion fans gruß lars^^

Before I came across Maniac Mansion i just laughed over the C64 (I got my first around 2007:) but in this game the pack of pixels are *alive*, they communicate, make jokes, the gameplay is non repetitive, everyone is cool, it IS filmlike like today games, just with *retarded* pixels. And I especially like horror parodies.

Der Sound ist so unglaublich viel besser als auf der PC Version...spiele grade nochmal die "Enhanced" PC-Version durch aber nach dem Video werd ich zur C-64 Version wechseln....bei dem Spiel ist der Sound wirklich wichtiger als die Grafik, wenn´s um die Erzeugung von Stimmung geht.

Dude, you could have skipped the first two and a half minutes of this; we didn't need to see the load screens. Otherwise, though... ah, the memories. :) (Except my copy was in English, of course, but other than that...)  The C64 version's music was better than the NES version's, and WAY better than the godawful blips and bleeps of the PC's internal speaker.

@JASONHEINCHMANNNN Yeah, in Zak MCKracken. In Maniac Mansion, no; there was no gas, hence the joke of getting the player to tote around an utterly useless chainsaw for the whole game. Same with the rotted food on the table in the dining room and most of the crap from the fridge, except you could at least unload all that stuff on Green Tentacle before giving him the fruit. lol

@HipHop1981 The NES version wasn't terrible, it just wasn't as good as the C64 version. Some of the theme songs were pretty catchy, if a little irritating after the HUNDREDTH FUCKING TIME YOU LISTENED TO IT. But yeah, they cut it down way too much. And the funny part is, nowadays no one would blink at jokes about cannibalism and microwave hamster cookery.

Einen Amiga habe ich nie gehabt weil der mich nie richtig interessiert hat. Den Commodore 64 dagegen liebe ich heute noch. Am meisten habe ich immer (Turrican 2) gespielt. Das war mein erstes Ballerspiel wo ich vier Jahre alt war und das ist heute noch mein lieblingsspiel auf dem C64. Ich hab sogar heute noch zwei Commodore 64er. Einen benutze ich selber und der andere ist immer noch in einer Originalverpackung. Und in 20-30 Jahren werde ich das teil verkaufen. Mal sehen was er dann wert ist.

Obwohl der Amiga technisch dem C64 klar überlegen war, ist die Musik beim C64 eindeutig besser, der Maniac Mansion Schriftzug ist witziger, sogar die Soundeffekte sind teilweise besser (hört euch mal den Meteoreinschlag bei PC oder Amiga an :$ )

ich war auch so 6,7 jahre! mein älterer bruder hatte das mit seinen freunden gezockt ich habe zugeschaut und fand es beim ersten mal eklig als der spruch mit dem gehirn wegsaugen kam,da hab ich das zimmer verlassen.Einen Tag später hab ichs selbst gespielt und war infiziert!KEIN anderes spiel egal auf welchem Computer/Konsole habe ich öfter durchgespielt als das.EGal ob Deluxe oder Originalfassung..Ich werds immer LIEBEN!

Naja, die Loading Time hättest etwas per Editing beschleunigen ... nicht sehr interessant minutenlang den Ladeschirm zu sehen (wenn auch authentisch!).

In that time grafic and sound was great ... now it is just weird, dunno why. But I love the memories ... but seemed another in the memory (better, hehe)
