As an Army veteran, squad pointman and company sniper of 12 years, I have to say that not only am I not going to waste my time shooting a bb gun but I'm not going to waste my time shooting plastic bb's either. @PatriotsniperPaul In a way, he's right. A sniper (especially with a 'ghillie), should blend into their surroundings NO. MATTER. WHAT. Moving around makes your profile easier to spot against the surrounding foliage. I know it's "only" airsoft, but take some time to google sniping technique. Some individuals are trained to stay motionless and undetected for hours, even days, without much movement.

@bzenecka22 fps does not equal range.... consistant fps, good bbs and good hop/barrel setup will give you range, my thompson outranged 90% of snipers, and it was only 330fps with .28s.....

I got mine a bit cheaper but thats still ok for a 2 joule sniper that performs good, atleast the guys in the comments on the website wrote that and some reviews here on youtube.

@shooter7387 I have a 430 fps jg m4 I use .23 gram Bbs they are perfect, for your 400fps I would still use .23s u will have about 470 2 480 fps somewhere around that area or more. You will be set with .23s you wouldn't think .23s would be much different then .20s but it does! I hoped I helped!

You might like to camouflage your hands. That ghillie suite doesn't help you much, if you bright pink hands are holding the weapon. Also don't forget ears and neck, most people forget those.

@Darkchao2011 I use the Pre-upgraded SD98 with a Madball 6.03 Tight Bore. It's a nice solid gun. Though I use 0.28's. It's a very nice gun right out of the box and a good platform to upgrade even further. I like it. I shoot about 520 with it, and it's not even a really expensive one. Though 500 with a 0.4 is a bit overkill.
