  • You spelled student wrong in the first paragraph, hahha! No college for you!

  • Those ignoramus, who say we should deport childeren of undocumented immigrants, should do more research about what dream act is. Then you can come here and post your opinion.

Let me tell you something. Some of these kids lived here since they were 1 or 2 months old, and this is the country they consider HOME!!! Try to put yourself in their situation, and rethink.

Be enlightened and become true global citizens who share opinion on this global site, YOUTUBE.

  • RoyNeary. i tryed to join the marines in 04 when I graduated High school I was constantly told I couldnt join because of my status to tell you the truth I would join the marines just to deffend this country , for nothing in return. now I am anxiously waiting for a draft, because I filled my selective service form I am willing and able to deffend the U.S. and who ever and what ever is in this country, I am an American,

  • @yourface5666 Same thing happened 2 me.

  • Say NO to illegal immigration. VOTE REPUBLICAN!

  • @00kittylicious00 Mc cain supports the Dream Act

  • Since when do these people get to tell us what we will give them???

  • The Sedition Act of 1913 was an attempt by government to limit freedom of speech during a time of war. This is in conflict with the US Constitution's First Amendment, which states, in part: "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, or the press". Note that there is no "war" exception (or any exceptions whatsoever) to this freedom stated in the text of the amendment.

Congress repealed the Sedition Act in 1921

  • The dream act....no longer a dream! The 3rd world will have to find another way!

  • These kids have every opportunity to pursue a college education in their home countries in world-class universities for less than what it costs for a year's worth of textbooks in teh U.S. Illegal aliens have the right to pursue education in their home countries...no one is denying them. Illegal aliens aren't being blocked from anything, they are illegal aliens. It's no badge of honor.

  • Kids that where brought here illegaly and are raised here are Americans. If you just try to send them back to where they where born they would be lost. It's like sending you to China and forcing you to live there forever. It's not fair. Give them a chance.

  • DREAM ACT - defeated!!!! YEs, the people have spoken. These whining illegal alien students making unjustified pleas for yet more benefits they don't deserve have been shut down! These kids can go to school for FREE in Mexico. Go home.

  • Yes, many of these illegal teenagers have compelling stories. And those stories may warrant some special consideration at some time. But only after Congress passes the laws necessary to keep the next million illegal teens from arriving, and only after the Administration shows that it can implement those laws.

Tell Senate offices "No more talk of rewards for illegal immigration until enforcement laws are passed."

  • Well i guess thats a matter of personal opinion. As stubborn as you sound im glad you at least acknowledge one third of the dream act.

  • From my understanding, the military option is may already be available to DREAMers.

Search for "Expedited Citizenship Through Military Service: Policy and Issues".

"On July 3, 2002, President George W. Bush officially designated the period

beginning on September 11, 2001, as a "period of hostilities," which triggered

immediate naturalization eligibility for active-duty U.S. military service members"

  • I think the military is a great option. but if we make it the only option i think it would be fair to say that America is not a country of freedom but rather a country that takes liberty away from an immigrant in order to protect itself. But America its a country of principles and morals, but most importantly of freedom.

  • It is my belief that it should be the only option. certianly you and others may disagree, but I can create a very compelling historical argument for my position whereas you can only offer platitudes.

  • THE MOST IMPORTANT POSSESSION ANY COUNTRY IS BOUND TO HAVE ITS NOT AN ARMY BUT ITS PEOPLE.

Help its people and you are helping the country. When you become a doctor, architect, teacher, lawyer, engeneer, or soldier etc and you use your knowledge you are helping this country. I hardly believe anyone would dare to argue this.

  • You obviously don't know much about the military. There are jobs for all of the professions that you mention. If you wish to cut in line before other immigrants who are waiting in line, then you must accept the conditions that society places upon you.

  • Sir, joining the military is not the only way to show your love for your country. Are you saying that those who are not in the military do not love this country? I disagree with that. I believe that service and love for America is not only shown by protecting it but also by helping its people to achieve success in any way.

  • I'm not suggesting military service is the *only* way to show that you love your country, I *am* suggesting that if you expect special treatment then you must accept the preconditions. This is *not* the first time in history that something like this has been used and it has been very successful in the past.

Let's not forget that the military has a variety of professions that don't carry a weapon!

  • And you are right, community service is meant only to help a community. That's exactly why they want to go to college so that they can obtain knowledge and then apply it to benefit this country as a whole. I agree with what Americo1974 said, "Individuals that are well-educated are very valuable to the economy of any country"

  • When I went to college, I didn't go out of love of country, I went to better myself and improve my economic status. When I joined the military, I did so because of love of country and a desire to serve.

Let's make the military option the *only* option for DREAM and I'll bet a lot more Americans will get on board. In addition, remove the "hardship" clauses to ensure that this isn't a chain-reaction amnesty.

  • Yes sir, in a way I agree but is a bit irrelevant whether their reasons for doing community service are altruistic or selfish. The fact that they are doing community service is what actually matters.

  • I disagree. Many of those who would be affected by the legislation point to community service as an indication of selflessness and love of country. I think that reality is quite different in most cases. If the military option were the only option towards obtaining legal status, I would have far less of a problem with DREAM.

  • The GI bill helped millions of US soldiers get an education after WWII, and the positive economic impact on the US was inmense and positive. Similarly, educating motivated illegals and giving them a legal means to be in the US will help US a lot. I am not for giving total amnesty, but partial only to benefit our economy.

  • RoyNeary, sir, i just saw the video in your channel and I see why you do not look so lightly on this issue. It angers me that because of them, many people believes that all hispanic immigrants are ungrateful.

  • This is not only an issue of law but also of morality. Can we really send 12 million people back to their countries just because the came here illegaly? Yes we can. Should we? It just doesnt sound right.

  • "we are obligated to care for our family of citizens" I couldnt agree more. But you know there are some immigrants who pay their taxes and also who do community service. I guess they care about our family of citizens too.

  • Paying taxes, in most cases, is not an option. Public service on the other hand, is an option however such service usually benefits the local community.

I am not denigrating the service that some of these people provide, I am simply saying that the reasons that they volunteer are not all altruistic and they do not benefit America as a whole.

  • Here's a question. What's better for the future of this country? a citizen who is on welfare and has a partime job in mc Donalds or perhaps doesnt have a job or an illegal immigrant who pays taxes, speaks english and also has an education?

  • Are you suggesting that we deport everyone on welfare? Probably not. So why would you make such a silly argument and think that it carries any weight.

We are obligated to care for those on welfare because they are citizens of our country. Just as you are obligated to care for your family, we are obligated to care for our family of citizens.

Would I prefer to have more good people here that want to be here? Yes. Should they be here legally? Yes.

  • How about those immigrants who came to this country and are making it a better place? Should we sent them back? Furthermore, can we compare them to those illegal immigrants that committ crimes everyday? I know some of you who are against the DREAM ACT are well educated people. Please understand why this is important. Can you compare yourself to a drug dealer or a rapist? I hope not. Lets not pretend all illegal immigrants have the same negative value to this country.

  • I stand beside with aprillh.

Illegals DON'T deserve Amnesty. This is not what America is about. All illegals do is complain and whine and moan. You're a foreigner, SHUT UP OR GET OUT!

  • dude all these immigrants you underestimate, can help the economy of the U.S., please dont be a "RED NECK HATER" oppose only!! to those immigrants who dont wanna learn English, or live by the rules and STANDARDS of the

US; I BET ANY OF THESE ILLEGALS ON TAPE CAN OUTSMART YOU IN ANY EDUCATIONAL MATTER YOU IGNORAN HATER...

  • fuck you, we're not shutting up and we're not leaving ever

  • Perhaps a personal escort from ICE agents will be in order for you then?

  • Please call your senators TODAY to tell them to vote NO on the DREAM ACT. IT's a scam that Americans will have to pay for. These illegals who will be getting special treatment because their parents CHOSE to break the law. They can then sponsor other relatives to come to the US! It's just more chain migration. NO AMNESTY! Call your senators today to say NO! 1-800-828-0498 - ask for your senator.

  • Individuals that are well-educated are very valuable to the economy of any country. I rather help those that want to help themselves rather than to support the millions of people that are in the jail system.

  • yeap I agree.

  • I say fine, Jawbuster can give you back your healthcare money when America takes back all their unfair global monopoly industries out of the third world, how's that?

  • Spoken like a true patriot... of the third world!!!

  • damn straight

  • these students hav not lived here 5 years so don't compare your leisure trip to their LIVES! many came as toddlers and they don't know other countries. U talk as if all American citizens were the same, so u think blacks, asians, indian citizens who have lived here hundreds of years are not American citizens? wat r American citizens to you? Please lose the ignorance, realize that these students will only help your country, cmon this is EDUCATION! they are the future leaders too.

  • I was in Japan defending the country you live in; so please, shut up idiot.
