Last video is 7 months ago its kind of eerie in the video with the music portrays the lonely life as a trucker driving the ever winding highways out in no mans land. Please let us know you are still around trucking. Thanks for the videos and taking the time to let us see what you do. Peace!!!
Great video- I really liked the music too. As an ex-British trucker and now trucking in the US I have found out what snow really is. I hate the stuff and this video makes me nervous about the coming winter and it's still only August! I gotta change jobs.
What an awesome video! I've made that drive myself several times and you captured it very well! Hope you get a new camera soon. Thanks for sharing with us!
@BigTruckDrivingJobs Thanks as always BTDJ! I absolutely love that drive as long as the snow machine isn't turned up too high! Should have a new camera next month just in time for some summer drivin'. So stay tuned!
@WhiteLinesBlueSkies Yeah, my truck started throwing check engine lights and error codes. My roadside assist guys said my truck was just too damn cold and keep driving until I get to warmer weather. I didn't hesitate to take them up on that advice. Brrrr is right!
@lorentsmful Unfortunately the hours of service regulations are too complicated to fit in this description box. But I generally drive about 70hrs per week. Some days I might only drive for 3 hours. Other days I'll drive for 11. Sometimes I drive at night. Sometimes during the day. There is really no set schedule in trucking. I just drive when I'm needed. Typically though, I push the limits on legal driving hours and use up every last minute.
@WigWagProductions thats what i would do. drive when they asked me too. i also would do daily exercise like jogging around my truck 20,50, or 100 times a day. and probably body squats and general movements.
@bluegrassboy2448 Thanks BlueGrass! Unfortunately, my camcorder is on the fritz, and I probably won't get a new one until the summer. So for now, I'm just doing what I can. As soon as I get a new camcorder though, the videos will start flowing again!
@lorentsmful Are those my only two choices? LOL! I'm a very happy company driver who is treated well and paid fairly. I've looked into becoming an O/O but when I do the math, I'd make about the same, with a lot more stress, risk, and liability. The additional freedoms would be nice. I know there are advantages. But the disadvantages outweigh the pluses for me personally. Very happy with my company and I have no plans on leaving anytime soon. Thanks for watching!!
@WigWagProductions do you have a pee jug? do you crap in plastic bags? or does your company give you a toilet in your cab? do you have set hours you are allowed to drive? can you drive at night and sleep during the day if you want? can you take walks or run around your truck 50 times for exercise everyday? do you bring your own food? can you have internet on the road anywhere? can you pick up hitchhikers to keep you company sometimes?
@lorentsmful Strange questions, but I'll play along. Pee jug? Unfortunately, that's unavoidable at times. Never crapped in a bag before and don't plan to. I don't have a toilet in the cab, nor would I want one. I am on electronic logs and always run legal. I can drive during the day or night. I can run and walk wherever and whenever I want. I have food on my truck with a fridge / microwave. I have a Verizon aircard for internet. I'd never want to pick up a hitchhiker.
@WigWagProductions i got my cdl a license a few years ago. i have worked 3 b truck jobs and didn't crash for any of them. i quit them. this was in hawaii, the big island. the locals don't like white people there so i never got hired for harbor freight pickup and delivery of containers. i drove a garbage truck, a b class reefer to pick up freight at harbor(i got my twic card), bring to warehouse, then deliver it. i worked at lowes delivering appliances but they never let me drive the a truck.
@lorentsmful i am on the mainland now. just got my cdl a transfered to utah and i now am thinking, not looking, for a long haul job near salt lake city. whoever hires me, pretty much has to retrain me because no one hired me in hawaii so i could learn the ropes. i just did the schooling and roadtest. no unhooking or hooking up a trailer. so i need to learn how to downshift better. i can do it but i miss the gears sometimes.
@lorentsmful I was pretty certain you were simply a troll, but if you're serious about getting into trucking and want info on who I work for, shoot me a private message. I don't like to discuss my employer publicly, but the company I drive for will train you and at the very least help get you started in this career, provided your driving, criminal, and work history is satisfactory and you're in decent health. I'm no recruiter and will give you both the good and bad. Cheers..
@PaleriderTV Definitely very cold. As for the lonely part, truckers are a weird breed. I absolutely love driving in the middle of nowhere. Most people would be lonely. But for me, it's heaven.
at :43 it looks like coming down the west side of continental divide into Butte MT

can you drive everyday in the legal time limits for the whole month and then repeat? or is that too much time and illegal to drive everyday forever?
