  • the baby is cute!

  • Oh my god. Finaly. I was searching for a GOOD and high quality chanell for chinese food. Yey. Could I ask you for some more recipies with rice?

    Respectfully,

  • Yum....Thank You.

  • Китайская еда очень вкусная :)

  • Beautiful

  • marry me?<3

  • hmm...when I use freshly cooked rice, instead of left overs, my fried rice always comes out sticky :(

Thanks for the recipe. The foods looks great! So much better than take away!

  • I really like your WOK! Can you tell me where I can buy a wok like that? I do not like the WOKs that are at the asian store because the quality does not seem good. Where did you get yours at? What should I look for when looking for a really good WOK to stir fry and fry food?

  • @lisabyx Thanks! Nonstick wok is great for stir-frying and frying meat. For vegetables I use a stainless wok. The wok I use it's It's Calphalon CS Nonstick, I got it at Calphalon store in Seattle Premium Outlets.

  • @cookwithkelly Actually nonstick woks aren't good for any kind of Chinese cooking really. If you use nonstick over too high of a heat, it will degrade and possibly melt right off. Though I won't deny that it's great for fried rice as rice is sticky

  • @GhostPirate6 Thanks for your great comment. Yes I heard that seasoned carbon steel wok is the best for Chinese frying. I used seasoned carbon steel wok when I lived in China, however I still like nonstick better especially for cooking meat (I'm not a hero :), I LOVE nonstick wok). That's why I invested a very expensive nonstick wok like this one.

  • @cookwithkelly Oh yeah me too. I find that meat sticks too much on anything but nonstick. Calphalon is too expensive for me. I prefer the cookware on QVC and I think they are much better quality than Calphalon.

  • @GhostPirate6 Thanks for letting me know the QVC, they have so much cool stuff! I'm gonna shop around there! I like Calphalon cookware however I found all Calphalons are so heavy.

  • @GhostPirate6 You're welcome. I think their Cook's Essentials cookware is lighter but I'm not sure. I only have their Technique Hard Anodized line.

  • Are you fujianese?

  • @lisabyx No, I'm from Chongqing.

  • your daughter is so cute!

  • @7gege7 Thank you!

  • Thank you for pronouncing the dish in chinese! I think it cool knowing what the real name for the dishes are. Is this considered mandarin or cantonese?

  • @justini756 Thank you so much!

    It's Mandarin.

  • When these dishes are broken down like this - then they are so easy to make - thanks for making these so easy and simple with not alot of ingredients... And they taste so good afterwards...

  • Looks great!

  • omg you the best! i love you! :)

  • Fantastic !

  • Looks great!

  • I like an extra egg in mine, this was really wonderful, thanks for sharing.. :-)

  • Looks delicious, very nice!

  • i need another lesson, can you come to my house and cook it for me? :P

awwww your daughter is so cute!

how hot do you have the wok?

  • @GregsKitchen Thanks Greg! I cook over medium heat for fried rice.

  • now I know how to make fried rice properly .Thank you

  • Not only am I learning Chinese food I'm also learning how to speak Chinese from you =)

  • kelly, i think its better to cook the ground pork first before the egg and the rest of the ingredients.

  • @gilboypogi I'm afraid that the pork will be too dry and old if I cook it for too long. If you ever try cooking this way with this fried rice let me know how it goes. Thanks!

  • @gilboypogi I would have to agree with you, and I'm chinese. I think the pork need to be cooked longer because pork can not be eaten raw. It does look very good.

  • @nxxi thanks. its better to be fully cooked than sorry.

  • wow kelly, also what kind of rice do you use? I use Basmati at the moment but am not pleased with the result.

  • @andyjack33 Thai rice is pretty good for making fried rice :)

  • @Shunkitology Thanks

  • @andyjack33 USE CAL ROSE RICE.!

  • @mjconnollyIII Thanks

  • @andyjack33 ANDY, YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME, GOOD RICE DOES NOT NEED TO BE EXOTIC TO BE GOOD, OR IN FACT EXCELLENT, MY EXPERIENCE IN THE CULINARY ARTS HAS BROUGHT ME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT CAL ROSE RICE IS BEST FOR ALL COOKING WHICH DEMANDS RICE. THE ONLY OTHER RICE IN MY EXTENSIVE PANTRY IS BROWN RICE, WITH THESE TWO FORMS OF RICE ALL THE PEOPLE I COOK FOR THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ONE SINGLE COMPLAINT, JUST OOOH'S AND AAAHHH'S, SMILES AND HEALTHY BELCHES, VERY CONTENTED AND HAPPY CAMPER EATERS.!

  • @andyjack33 I'm using the Thai rice and I cooked the rice a day before so the rice is not so soft or runny. The Indian Basmati rice should be pretty good for fried rice. Just make sure not to cook the rice too soft or runny.

  • @cookwithkelly Thanks
