  • strange way of practising this exercise! Women have breast(tissue, don't know the right word in english).. If you go lower then 90 degrees, than you can damage or tear that (tissue) appart.

  • protip: If ur gonna put ur neck up look up at the ceiling to keep it straight. it will reduce strain on it.

    for dudes dont bother with flat bench, go straight to the incline bench, its what gives you the shelf.

    for girls, all u need to do is abs and butt.

  • Usualy people at the gym are easy goign and really nice. don't be shy, go right ahead and ask them, they will be happy for sure, most of them are like in their bubbles and in full workout mode so meaby they dont look all that down. worst comes to worst, you can let me know i can try to give suggestions.

    1. when trying to gain muscle mass, is it better to use lighter weights and and do more reps or is it better to use heavier weights and do less reps?

    2. What are the different muscles you should work on at the same time? Thats to say - what are the muscle groups?

  • 1. The general rule is for gaining muscle mass you want heaver weights with less reps, high reps with less weights is for tone/fat loss.

    2. Back -Bi's, Tris-chest, legs

  • The best fiber on the planet is: psyllum husk. Metamucil is made from it but that has a horrible task. The husk is just husk - from the psyllum seed.

    If you put it in a glass of orange juice it is exactly the same as the rind in the juice - if you don't mind rind.

    One other thing - it absorbs water really fast, so it will turn it into an orange gel if you don't drink up. Also, keep the amount in a glass to a reasonable quantity for the same reason.

  • I'm not.. it just surprises me that she can recommend a technique that makes it less safe. This "intensity work out" seems like another way of saying "I hate the gym, and wanna get out as fast as possible, therefore I reduce safety, to get more effective training." I bench, and I do crunches in cable machines. Two separate exersises.

  • no its not an easy way out to the gym, intensity work out is u are burning more, thats why,, ok example lets say u do chest work out lets say you do 12 reps when u feel the burn on the 11th rep when u do do the 12th u hold it there for a few seconds u will feel the burn my friend try it, really

  • It's still unsafe, anything can happen. I only bench 70kg, but that is heavy enough for me to respect it. I wouldn't lift my legs, and risk getting hurt, just to activate the abs.

    Squats are a lot better for activating the abs.

  • This is pretty much a video for newby "weightlifters", who think that lifting the smallest amount of weight possible will give results. To gain, you must push yourself, and focus on one or two complimentary muscles at a not (not chest and abs).

    I've seen a million women in the gym doing this kind of thing, and it pisses me off everytime. It doesn't make you gain anything, or trim anything down. If you're going to lift like this, just get a milk bag or something like that and do it at home.

  • 1. DO NOT let the weights hit each other. They WILL get damaged, you WILL disturb everyone else doing it and you risk losing control over the weights.

    2. With the weights used in this video it is endurance training, smiling and talking when training shows that not enough effort is used....

    3. Support your neck. Keeping it up while benching for training abs is not a good idea. The only thing you will gain from keeping it up is neck pain.

    4.Benchpress: Make sure your shoulder blades support you

    Less weight + lots of repetitions = speed, more explosive strength

    Either can be good, depends on what sport you do

    Less reps and higher weights gives explosive strength.

    They work the fast twitch muscle fibres.

    And 8-12 reps is for maximum muscle mass.

  • I had problems there for a while myself, what you could try is to let it rest for a week or 2, stick to cardio, or if you can't leave it stick to exercises with which you do not feel any pain at all. If after 2 weeks you're feeling exactly the same as you did before you should visit a sports doctor for some more specified advise (or you could just visit one right away :p)

    I assume that excersises you have to push with should go smooth and exercises you're pulling weights with will be painful
