Hey, I just looked up "soprano saxophone," and holy cow! THEY really are even MORE like clarinets--even just straight like them! And then not only that, but that's not even the smallest and highest there is! There's a sopranino and a soprillo version (the very smallest and highest)! Heck, that thing might as well just BE a clarinet! :-)

@MaxxFordham That's why when I occasionally play soprano, I use the ones with either the slightly curved neck, or slightly curved bell. After a while, you get annoyed at people saying "oh, a gold clarinet...sounds different, though." With that light curve, they don't tend to think "it's a gold clarinet" as much, lol.

Heheh, I might've thought those straight ones were "gold clarinets" and sounded the *same* as the actual ("black") ones, because even the alto sax sounds like a clarinet in its high notes to me.
