Yes, Islam is one part of the Uighur culture. In history, Uighurs changed their religious belief five times. Therefore, they have the aspects of all these five religions in their real life. Uighurs are demanding their culture to be respected, not only the islamic aspects but all parts of their culture.

I think they are not concerned about the girls moving aways from Islamic culture. They are more worried about the demographics.
