@OSTARAEB4 Well, as a San Antonian, I just think that the city of Dallas proper is jealous of Houston's skyline and population. I personally like Houston's better, but Dallas TRIES to get back at them by the metro pop. And also sports team rivalries: Cowboys-Texans, Rangers-Astro's, Dallas FC-Dynamo, and Rockets-Mavericks(But Spurs kick both butts). That's my knowledge, there might be more.
Question-would someone from Texas explain to this American the rivalry with Houston and Dallas????? I'm listening. Is this like Northern Californians don't like Angelinos because of the smog and sprawl and "cultureless" Southern Cali? I'm curious about these digs on each other I hear.
Now look i live in houston right!! Then if i say it aint a damm thing special about houston then it damm sure aint nothin special bout dallas!! Houston is way bigger, way better get over it!! Lol "dallas fort worth" please!
FYI. The Uptown area where the galleria is located within a three mile radius is considered the largest Business District in the United States outside of a downtown area. So technically we have what would be equivalent to two downtowns.
I am a DFW boy myself, but we just went to Corpus & Houston a couple of weeks ago and I must say that Houston rocks. Maybe we will move there someday. Go Hornfrogs!!!
thats not that far away from the houston aquarium they have white tigers from india or watever i went there on the 4 of july the fireworks were the biggest display in america as we were told
houston has many skylines all around the city, Uptown, medical center, greenspoint, the woodlands, memorial city, greenway plaza, not as big as dubai n chicago but just awesome to see skyscrapers everywhere u look,
not bad, but the buildings, roads, etc are not as good as the ones i have seen in arab cities like dubai (UAE), doha (qatar), etc. in those countries, all electric cables are underground and the street lamps look better...dubai has some of the best skyscrappers: burj dubai (tallest), burj-al-arab (1st 7 star hotel), revolving skyscrapper...a skyscrapper that actually moves about an axis, so if you are in one of the rooms, your outside scene will change in a couple hours.
@jkz2862 Have you seen how much land Houston takes up! Houston has 579 sq mi of land. Dallas has 342 sq mi of land. Houston takes up a massive amount of land, of course it will be bigger. No other city in the top 10 largest cities in the USA takes up that much land.
H-TOWN!!!
